I kinda suck at posting my recent work in any sort of acceptable timeframe, so here's a little catch up. Somewhere in the backlog is a tiny troublemaking Stitch for one client and a bold Dragon Ball Majin symbol for another, two completely different fandoms, same amount of shenanigans and joy on my end.

Trust me, I have some bizarre nerdom tattoos of my own that are wonderfully childlike and bring me serious joy. Fair warning, this sleeve *might* make you feel out of your depth in the best way possible. My client is deep into aerospace, physics, and math, and instead of asking me to draw something pretty and vague, they handed me actual formulas that mean something to them. So now I get to tattoo equations I have to have explained to me like I'm five, and I am absolutely here for it. This sleeve is still very much a work in progress, no idea how many sessions it'll take, we're just building it out piece by piece. Ten out of ten client, would nerd out with again.

You might not think there is such a thing as a tattoo emergency, but with my kind of clients, sometimes there is. Trauma informed work means understanding that a tattoo can be more than art. For some people, getting through something hard, a tattoo can offer real personal relief, not as medical treatment, but as a way to reclaim a moment on their own terms. I won't get into the details, but I was honored to be available for this one. It turned out beautiful, and I'm grateful this is how I get to do my job.

We are so close to giving you a bigger, better, still sensory-safe home for Reclamation, and we could not be more excited.

But that also means my time in my current suite in the SW Plaza mall is winding down. My last day here is October 7th, and after that there's downtime while we build the new shop out.

You know that feeling when you finish a tattoo session?

That's not just relief. That's dopamine. Your brain just got a reward hit for completing something hard, for sitting with discomfort and coming out the other side. For a lot of neurodivergent folks, that kind of clean, concrete sense of achievement is genuinely hard to come by.
