A client came in for foot pain.

What she didn’t realize was how much tension she was also holding through her pelvic floor.

As we slowed down, breathed, and brought awareness to her body, she was able to release gripping she didn’t even know was there.

This is the work we do at Breathe Eden.

Not treating one body part in isolation, but looking at the whole person — body, mind, breath, and nervous system.

Because sometimes the place that hurts isn’t the whole story.

If this sounds like you….

You know you need support with one area of pain in your body but you also know you need to work with your entire body system➡️ click link in bio to book your discovery call and get you started 🤍

What I teach at Breathe Eden isn’t about doing more.

It’s about slowing down.

As women and moms, we’re so used to pushing through, rushing, forcing, and taking care of everyone else that pausing can feel uncomfortable. Because when we slow down, we often have to feel what’s been there all along.

The tension.
The anxiety.
The tightness.
The exhaustion.

But here’s what I see over and over again:

When we create space to pause, breathe, and listen, those sensations begin to shift.

Pain softens.
Anxiety settles.
The body no longer has to work so hard to get your attention.

Healing doesn’t always happen through pushing harder.

Sometimes it begins when we finally feel safe enough to slow down. 🤍

Do you ever take a pause during your day to notice where your breath is going?

Is it staying up in your neck and chest? Or can you feel it move down into your ribcage and abdomen?

Let’s take a moment together.

Place your hands on the sides of your ribcage.

Take a slow inhale through your nose and allow your ribs to gently expand into your hands.

Then slowly exhale and feel your ribs soften and draw back together.

Repeat 3–5 times.

Then pause again…and notice if anything shifts.

Maybe your shoulders soften. Maybe your jaw unclenches. Maybe your mind slows down, even just a little.

Awareness is where change begins 🤍

Just checking in… what happens after school drop off? 🤍

Some of you are rushing between 2–3 different schools. Some just one, like myself. Or maybe your kids just got on the bus and you immediately move into work, errands, emails, cleaning, caring for everyone else.

But do you ever actually exhale after the morning rush?

Do you allow your body to come down from the stress and stimulation of the morning… or do you just continue through the rest of your day still stuck in fight or flight?

So many moms don’t even realize how much tension they’re carrying before 9 a.m. 😮😭

Take a moment today to notice:
How does your body feel after drop off?
Can you soften your jaw?
Relax your shoulders?
Take one full breath?

Comment below ⬇️— do you notice yourself slowing down after the morning rush, or do you stay “on” the rest of the day?

Do you ever notice what happens to your breath when your children are arguing, melting down, or you’re rushing everyone out the door?

Or when you’re stressed at work…sitting in traffic…trying to hold everything together?

Most women don’t realize their breath slowly starts moving higher and higher into the chest and neck.

Your shoulders tighten.Your jaw clenches.Your body stays in “go mode.”

But breathing isn’t supposed to feel forced, shallow, or stuck in your upper chest.

Can you allow the breath to move lower…into your abdomen, your ribcage, the back of your body?

And if you can’t — that’s information, not failure.

Sometimes your body simply needs support learning how to breathe more efficiently again.

If this sounds familiar, reach out for a discovery call and we can talk about what support or plan of care may be the best fit for you. Comment below “Breathe”

After the long weekend, so many moms wake up Tuesday already exhausted again.

Back to the schedules. The mental load. The constant doing. The tension in your shoulders, jaw, chest, and nervous system.

Being a mom can be the best thing in the world and also the hardest thing in the world.

Sometimes both at the same time.

This is part of why I do this work. 🤍

Reach out if you are feeling this and ready for support.

What happens to your breath when you are constantly bracing?

When you’re told to “engage your core” all day long…hold your pelvic floor…tighten your stomach…protect your back…

Where is the release?

Where is the softness? Where is the expansion? Where is the breath supposed to go?

Your body was designed to move with coordination, rhythm, adaptability, and flow — not constant gripping and guarding.

What if movement didn’t have to feel so forced?

What if instead of overthinking every muscle contraction, we allowed the body to move more naturally and trusted that our muscles are capable of working efficiently together?

And if something doesn’t feel right…if pain, tension, leaking, pressure, instability, or fear is present… that’s where individualized support matters.

Sometimes your body doesn’t need more bracing cues. Sometimes it needs a skilled set of eyes helping you understand how YOUR body moves, breathes, compensates, and responds.

That’s why 1:1 care matters.

At Breathe Eden Physical Therapy, Yoga and Wellness, I help women reconnect to movement, breath, and their bodies from a place of safety instead of fear.

What if your body doesn’t need more guarding…
but more safety?

So many women come into movement, yoga, fitness, or even rehab already afraid to move the “wrong” way.

“Engage your core.”
“Protect your spine.”
“Don’t let your back move.”
“Hold your pelvic floor.”

While these cues may be well intentioned, sometimes they can create even more tension, fear, and disconnection from the body.

At Breathe Eden Physical Therapy, Yoga and Wellness, I’m less interested in teaching women to fear their bodies…
and more interested in helping them feel safe in them again.

Safe to breathe.
Safe to move.
Safe to soften.
Safe to trust themselves.

Because healing doesn’t always come from more bracing. Sometimes it comes from finally letting your body feel supported enough to let go.

Being a mom can be the best thing in the world…
and also the hardest thing in the world.
Sometimes both at the exact same time 💟

You can feel deeply grateful…
and completely overwhelmed.
So full of love…
while also exhausted, touched out, tense, anxious, and running on empty.

At Breathe Eden Physical Therapy, Yoga and Wellness, this is exactly why I do this work.

Because so many moms are carrying so much in their bodies without even realizing it.
The tight shoulders.
The jaw tension.
The shallow breathing.
The headaches.
The feeling of always being “on.”

You don’t have to wait until your body breaks down to deserve support.

Sometimes healing starts with simply giving yourself permission to slow down, breathe, and be cared for too. 🤍
