Today is the day! Paint the Pony officially kicks off today! ☀️

🎨🐴 What is Paint the Pony?

Paint the Pony is our annual year-end campaign. As a FUNDRAISER and a FRIENDRAISER, Paint the Pony strives to raise much-needed funds, recruit new volunteers, and create a greater awareness about CTRC in our community. Each stripe we paint is a marker toward our $250,000 GOAL.

As one of our two major fundraisers of the year – and our largest – this campaign is essential to CTRC’s operating budget and our ability to provide life-changing therapeutic services. Every dollar makes a difference! 🌟

What is Paint the Pony?

Paint the Pony is our annual campaign. As a FUNDRAISER and a FRIENDRAISER, Paint the Pony strives to raise much-needed funds, recruit new volunteers, and create a greater awareness about CTRC in our community. Each stripe we paint is a marker toward our $250,000 GOAL. And each dollar raised supports our mission to change the lives of people with disabilities by promoting their physical, psychological, and social well being through equine assisted activities.

Today is World Mental Health Day.
At Colorado Therapeutic Riding Center, we believe mental health is an important part of overall well-being, and sometimes, the most meaningful connections happen in unexpected places.
For many of the people we serve, time spent with a horse can create a sense of calm, confidence, connection, and accomplishment. Through our Equine-Assisted Mental Health program, licensed mental health professionals incorporate horses and the unique environment of our farm into therapeutic work, creating opportunities for participants to explore emotions, build coping skills, strengthen relationships, and discover new confidence.
Whether it’s learning to trust a horse, finding a moment of calm at the barn, or experiencing the pride that comes with accomplishing something new, these moments can make a meaningful difference.
Today, we’re celebrating the importance of mental health and reminding our community that everyone deserves support, connection, and the opportunity to thrive.
