🌸 PINK PETAL Pathway Video Series – Week 3: Trust Before Task 🌸
Before we can provide care, we must first build trust and connection.
For a person living with dementia, a caregiver approaching too quickly, giving instructions, or focusing only on the task can feel confusing or overwhelming. When we take a moment to slow down, introduce ourselves, offer reassurance, and connect person-to-person, we create a foundation of trust that makes care easier and more successful.
This week’s PINK PETAL Pathway video explores Trust Before Task—the idea that relationships come before routines and connection comes before care. When trust is present, we can often reduce resistance, ease anxiety, and preserve dignity while accomplishing the task at hand.
Join us as we continue exploring practical, compassionate approaches to dementia care through the Home-Bloom Dementia Pathway.
New PINK PETAL Pathway videos are released every Tuesday in June on the Home-Aid Caregivers page.
