Skipping breakfast might be hurting your metabolism more than helping it.
A new study found two simple habits linked to lower body weight over time:
- Eating earlier in the day
- Leaving a longer overnight break from food
Sounds simple, but here's what most people miss: Your body isn't designed to process food the same way all day.
Metabolism, insulin sensitivity, and energy use all follow a rhythm. And they peak earlier in the day.
So when you skip breakfast, push your first meal later, and eat more at night...
You're working against your biology, not with it.
Even more interesting...
People who skipped breakfast (often for intermittent fasting) didn't see the same benefit, and in some cases had worse overall patterns. This doesn't mean there's one perfect schedule. But it does mean timing matters more than most people think.
Especially if you're doing "everything right"... and still not seeing results.
