When someone is grieving, you don’t have to have the perfect words.
You don’t have to make it better.
You don’t have to explain why it happened.
You don’t have to take their pain away.
Sometimes the best thing you can do is simply let them know: I’m here. I’m not going anywhere. You don’t have to go through this alone.
And remember that grief can show up differently for everyone. There is no timeline, no right way to grieve, and no expiration date on missing someone.
