How We Can Worship God

Asher Brown Durand was a renowned artist, famous for painting some of America's most famous landscapes. But besides that, another thing he was known for is stepping away from the famous regions, and pursuing the more serene, natural landscapes. Asher was a devout Christian, and he found that painting nature was a way to worship God. I think we could all learn from Asher, and find ways to worship God that you didn't even think of!
In addition to praying and reading scripture, one of the ways you could worship God, is what Asher B. Durand did, and be out in God’s creation! God created all natural things for us to enjoy, so why not spend some time outside praising him? It will do your body, and your soul a lot of good.
Another way we can worship God is by helping others. Proverbs 19:17 tells us : “Whoever is generous to the poor lends to the Lord, and he will repay him for his deed.” When you go out today, try to look for someone who needs help. Maybe they need food or money, or maybe they just need to have some comfort. Whatever the situation may be, I know God would love it, if you took the time to help one of his sons or daughters.
One more thing we can do to worship God is by going to church. Now you might say “But Mark, I go to church every Sunday!” and while yes, you might have a good Sunday routine, it's not just about staying on a perfect track. It’s about having your heart open to what God wants you to hear. There might be something that God is giving you that you might not even have known you needed to hear. So when you go on Sunday, always have your heart open, and your soul ready, for what God has prepared for you.
There are limitless ways to worship God. I hope this has inspired you to find ways to worship your Heavenly Father today, and I pray that his love and comfort would come over you.
