Mint has been one of my favorite herbs since early childhood. My mother used to make mint tea in summertime, usually in the evening. Sometimes we had it after a sauna. It felt refreshing and calming at the same time.
I use fresh mint to make hot mint tea, add some leaves to the salads, make summer lemonades and add to deserts.
Mint has an Ether (space) element in it. It opens / expands space inside of you on the days when you feel heavy and tired, helps to release the emotional and psychological tension, lightens the senses and uplifts the mood.
Mint is calming and relaxing for nervous digestion, enkindles appetite, pacifies gastritis, helps with morning sickness.
Peppermint water is soothing for skin allergic itching, and
mint essential oil helps to pacify the headache.
Mint acts as decongestant during colds, clearing the breathing pathways, relives the spasmic dry cough.
So many benefits from one aromatic herb…
Come to “Moon-Veda” Ayurvedic studio for a consult or treatment, and I will make you a cup of mint tea.
