Poor air quality can make asthma symptoms worse, even if you feel well. If the Air Quality Index (AQI) is elevated, take a few extra precautions to protect your lungs.

💨 Limit outdoor activities, especially strenuous exercise.
🏠 Keep windows and doors closed, and use air conditioning if available.
💊 Continue taking your prescribed controller medications as directed.
🫁 Always carry your rescue inhaler when you leave home.
⚠️ If you experience increased coughing, wheezing, chest tightness, or shortness of breath, follow your asthma action plan and contact your healthcare provider if symptoms don’t improve.

Staying informed about the air quality can help you breathe easier and stay healthier.
