Summer brings big changes for families managing epilepsy - hotter days, shifting routines, travel, camp, swimming, and more time outdoors.

Join Epilepsy Alliance America and member organization Epilepsy New Jersey on Wednesday, June 10 at 12pm for Staying Safe with Epilepsy All Summer Long, a practical webinar for people with epilepsy, caregivers, and families preparing for the season.

Dr. Inna Hughes, member of Epilepsy Alliance America's National Professional Advisory Committee, will walk us through how heat, hydration, sleep changes, activity, camp, medications, and outdoor time can affect seizure risk, along with guidance for swimming safety and helpful summer resources.

This session is open to anyone living with epilepsy or supporting a child, student, camper, or loved one this summer.

Recently, one of our epilepsy patients, Mateo had the incredible opportunity to throw out the first pitch at the baseball game on May 1st— a moment filled with strength, joy, and celebration.

For many families living with epilepsy, the journey can feel overwhelming at times. That’s why programs like ours exist: to provide support, connection, education, and hope through every stage of that journey.

Moments like these remind us why community matters so much.
Thank you to everyone who continues to support our families and help create meaningful experiences like this one. ⚾️💜

Some nights are more than support groups, they’re reminders that no one walks this journey alone. 💜

Tonight our families, teens, and caregivers came together for a “Words of Encouragement” activity filled with creativity, connection, and support. Thank you to everyone who shared kind words, laughter, and encouragement with one another.

Living with epilepsy can feel isolating at times, but community changes everything. ✨
