Everyone keeps saying, ‘Wow, you’re still breastfeeding?’ and you’re over here wondering if your toddler plans to take a b**b to college.😂🍼

The good news? You don’t have to figure out weaning alone.

As lactation consultants, we can help you:
✨ Create a gentle weaning plan that works for your family
✨ Reduce nursing sessions without the guilt (or the meltdowns)
✨ Manage engorgement and avoid clogged ducts during the transition
✨ Navigate bottle, cup, or straw cup transitions
✨ Support mixed feeding, extended breastfeeding, or complete weaning—whatever your goals are
✨ Make sure both you and baby feel supported every step of the way

Because whether you’re breastfeeding for 6 weeks, 6 months, or 6 years, the question isn’t “When should I stop?”—it’s “How can I make this transition work for us?”

💛 We’re here for the first latch, the last latch, and every feed in between.

Celebrating all month long✨
I’m your lactation consultant, and I need you to hear this… 🤍

Mom, thank you for everything.

Thank you for trusting me during one of the most vulnerable seasons of your life. Thank you for allowing me to walk alongside you through the questions, the tears, the late-night feeds, the victories, and the moments where you just needed reassurance.

Whether you’re breastfeeding, pumping, combo feeding, formula feeding, or bottle feeding — you deserve support without judgment. Feeding your baby is not one-size-fits-all, and neither is postpartum care.

At Cincy Lactation , we are here to support you through:
• Breastfeeding & latch support
• Pumping education and fl**ge sizing
• Bottle feeding guidance
• Low supply concerns
• Oversupply & engorgement help
• Weighted feeds
• Tongue/lip tie support
• NICU & preemie feeding support
• Returning to work & pumping plans
• Postpartum encouragement and education

Most importantly — we’re here to support YOU. Because a supported mom matters too.

You are not failing. You are learning, loving, and doing your best for your baby every single day. And that is something worth celebrating. 🫶

Breastfeeding while healing from birth is a lot 🤍

Whether you had a vaginal delivery or a C-section, your body is recovering and nourishing your baby at the same time. That’s no small thing.

Soreness, fatigue, emotional ups and downs, learning your baby’s cues—it can feel overwhelming. And if breastfeeding feels harder in this season, that doesn’t mean you’re doing it wrong.

As a lactation consultant, I remind moms: your healing matters too. Prioritize rest when you can, lean into supportive positions, stay hydrated, and don’t hesitate to ask for help.

You don’t have to push through pain or figure it all out alone. Support can make all the difference in both your recovery and your feeding journey.

Two things can be true—you can be healing and learning to breastfeed. Give yourself permission to do both, gently.

April is C-Section Awareness Month 🤍

C-section birth and breastfeeding can come with unique challenges—but they are absolutely not barriers to success.

As a lactation consultant, I support so many strong moms navigating surgical recovery while learning to feed their babies. Delayed milk coming in, positioning discomfort, sleepy babies—these are common, and they are workable.

With the right support, guidance, and patience, breastfeeding after a C-section can absolutely thrive. Simple shifts—like skin-to-skin, intentional positioning, and consistent stimulation—can make all the difference.

This month is about awareness, education, and honoring every birth story—including the ones that didn’t go as planned.

If you’re in this season: you’re not behind, and you’re not alone. Your body is healing, your baby is learning, and both of you deserve support every step of the way.

🤍 Feeding your baby after a C-section 🤍

If you’ve had a C-section, feeding your baby can look a little different—and that’s okay. Your body just did something major, and you deserve support every step of the way.

Here are a few gentle tips to help you get started:

✨ Find comfortable positions
Side-lying or the football hold can keep pressure off your incision and make feeds more comfortable.

✨ Take it slow
Your milk may take a little longer to come in after surgery. Frequent skin-to-skin and offering the breast often can help encourage supply.

✨ Use support
Pillows are your best friend—don’t be afraid to build a whole little nest to keep baby supported and your body relaxed.

✨ Stay on top of pain management
You deserve to be comfortable. Managing pain can actually help feeding go more smoothly.

✨ Ask for help early
Lactation consultants, nurses, and support groups can make a huge difference—don’t wait until you’re overwhelmed.

No matter how your baby is fed, what matters most is that both of you are cared for 💛

You’re healing. You’re learning. You’re doing enough. 🤍
