This incredible Virginia installation features our Cibes Ascenda XL Through-the-Floor Elevator, showing just how little space is actually needed to add safe, convenient access between floors.

The best part? The only modification required was removing a small section of stair railing to accommodate the upper landing gate.

That's it.

Unlike many elevator installations, there was:
✅ No shaft construction required
✅ No major remodeling project
✅ No floor hatch cut into the main living space
✅ No pit

Because the Cibes Ascenda runs on a wall-mounted track system alongside the staircase, it fit seamlessly into the home's existing layout while maintaining access throughout the space with its pass-through design. It also has Cibes' eco-silent screw drive technology so it's virtually silent when in operation!

The Cibes Ascenda XL is our largest shaftless model and is designed to accommodate a wheelchair, stroller, and rider—making it a smart solution for accessibility today and planning for tomorrow.

Have little ones running around? No problem. The Ascenda includes safety sensors above and below the cab that detect obstructions and stop the elevator automatically, helping keep children, pets, and loved ones safe while the elevator is in use.

We're proud to share a recent installation of a Cibes Primo lift in a bank in the Washington, DC area — and this one is a showstopper.

The client went above and beyond by incorporating specialty floor tape detailing around the lift entry, creating a bold, high-visibility approach that enhances user awareness while adding a modern design touch. The clear glass paneling allows the lift to blend seamlessly into the surrounding architecture, maintaining open sightlines and preserving the professional aesthetic of the space.

Safety features were tailored to the environment too — with a full-height gate at the lower landing and a half-height gate at the upper landing, balancing accessibility with practical building design.
