Real Neuropathy Treatment Success

Perhaps the most frustrating, but real issue surrounding patients, who suffer from peripheral neuropathy and indeed many types of chronic pain, is that more often than not, there are multiple underlying causes.

As you probably know, life tends to be in accumulation of experiences, unfortunately sometimes including trauma and illnesses.

All of these things have consequences, some of which will not show up for many years. You probably also know that things that are very easy to ignore at 25, now become impossible to ignore at 65 and beyond.

One of the things that concerns me while treating many neuropathy patients is when clinicians and patients focus exclusively trying to find the “one” cause of their pain, burning, tingling numbness or other neuropathy symptoms.

The reason for this is quite simple. Most commonly, patients develop peripheral neuropathy as the result of multiple factors.

Obesity and Neuropathy: A Neurological Complication of Lifestyle

We often associate obesity with metabolic dysfunction, joint pain, or cardiovascular disease but one of the most underappreciated consequences is nerve damage. Peripheral neuropathy is becoming increasingly common among overweight and obese individuals even those without diabetes.

This isn’t just a metabolic issue. It’s a neurological one. And if you’re running a private or direct-pay practice, it’s time to connect the dots for your patients and provide solutions no one else is offering.

Talk with John Hayes Jr., MD and learn what protocols can help you lead your community in reversing neuropathy through real, lasting lifestyle change.

Migraine – More Than Just a Headache

A migraine is not just a bad headache. It’s a neurological disorder that affects over 1 billion people worldwide, and for many, it’s chronic—meaning 15 or more migraine days a month.

Migraine symptoms can include:
- Throbbing or pulsating head pain
- Nausea and vomiting
- Extreme sensitivity to light, sound, and smells
- Visual disturbances
- Fatigue, dizziness, and brain fog

These aren’t minor inconveniences. A single migraine attack can last hours to days, and the recovery, called a migraine hangover or postdrome, can be just as draining.

For those with chronic migraine, it’s more than just pain, it’s missed work, canceled plans, lost time with family, and a constant fear of the next attack. It’s isolating and unpredictable.

Migraine is often dismissed because it’s invisible. But its impact is very real. It’s one of the leading causes of disability worldwide. It affects women more often, especially during hormonal shifts. It’s not always helped by common painkillers and finding the right treatment can take years. Migraine deserves the same respect and understanding we give to any other serious health condition.

During Chronic Pain Awareness Month, let’s raise awareness. Let’s advocate for better research, treatment access, and compassion.

"...Afssaps has been formally requested to analyse the risk associated with cosmetic substances that are "reprotoxic" and/or affect endocrine function, as a result of which various filters are currently being reassessed for such risk. The greater alleged safety of mineral filters, based on the absence of introduction of risk of photosensitisation (as a result of which they are preferred for use in young children), no longer seems so clear since the introduction of titanium dioxide (TiO2) and zinc oxide (ZnO) in the form of nanoparticles. Afssaps drew up a risk assessment report concerning cutaneous pe*******on, genotoxicity and oncogenesis for TiO(2) and ZnO in nanoparticle form; further studies are needed before any general conclusions may be drawn."
