💎These don’t look like the citrine you’re used to seeing and that’s exactly why I love them.
Unlike the bright yellow citrine many people picture, Congo Citrine often displays soft smoky, champagne, and golden hues. Its natural candle-like formations and unique growth patterns make every piece feel like a tiny work of art from the Earth.
You will also sometimes hear these beautiful specimens referred to as Kundalini Quartz or Kundalini Citrine because of their distinctive appearance and energetic associations.
Fun fact: much of the bright yellow or orange “citrine” commonly seen on the market is actually heat-treated amethyst. Naturally occurring citrine can have a much softer, smokier, or honey-colored look, which is part of what makes pieces like these so fascinating.
