September is Prostate Cancer Awareness Month. Did you know RemediChain accepts a significant number of prostate cancer treatments? In fact, some of these drugs, like Nubeqa, were counted among our most-rescued last year. That means we also support a number of patients who may otherwise go without their lifesaving treatments.

Craig Thompson is one of those patients. Craig is a talented designer and owner of Disciple Design. He's got insurance, but it won't cover specialty drugs. Craig has successfully navigated gaps in his therapy with the help of RemediChain. Over the years, he's been both a recipient AND a donor. He gladly shared his story. Click to read it on our website.

Medication Rescue bridges gaps in therapy, even for many insured patients. Craig Thompson has been both a patient and a donor. Read his story.

If you’re a caregiver facing a cabinet full of someone else’s medications, it can feel overwhelming. The goal is to keep medications out of the wrong hands, safely dispose of meds that need it, and – if you’d like – let valuable medication help someone instead of going in the trash. Our founder and one of our PharmDs, Phil Baker, walks through your options in our latest blog post.

When cleaning out medications, the goal is to keep them out of the wrong hands, safely dispose of what needs it, & let valuable meds help someone else.

Syncing up multiple necessary medications for any patient is a challenge. For a patient facing prostate cancer without the means to pay for them, it can seem an impossibility. But thanks to RemediChain, Walter got both his specialty prescriptions at once – and at no cost to him.

Medication Rescue is for any patient with a barrier to access, regardless of insurance status. Jeff Boyd had health insurance, but the plan initially denied a claim for a medication his oncologist suggested. RemediChain was able to provide two months' worth of Tabrecta to Jeff – and the obvious benefits resulted in approval from both the plan and the manufacturer's assistance program to help him continue to access it.

Jeff's story is one that moved our entire team. It reminded us why we do this. Jeff's is a story of hope, and we're so grateful that his family is sharing their experience. Click to read his full story on our website.

Medication Rescue provides hope in hopeless circumstances. For Jeff Boyd, it meant access to a medication his insurance initially denied.

When a patient with no insurance receives a cancer diagnosis, it can seem hopeless. After all, even insured patients struggle with the high costs of treatment. But RemediChain offered hope in the form of Tagrisso – an oral chemotherapy medication worth more than $30,000 – to Maria.

At RemediChain, the patients are our "why." Over the next few weeks, we'll share a few patient stories that have had a profound impact on us and that illustrate the necessity of Medication Rescue to patients.

Today, we're sharing Emily's story. Emily was young – the kind of patient you don't normally see with a lung cancer diagnosis. She was also insured, but she still struggled to access her lifesaving treatment...until RemediChain stepped in.

The typical prescription assistance tools available to oncology patients are valuable – copay cards, manufacturer programs, patient assistance programs. They're just incomplete, and too many patients are left behind. In addition to the standard "go-to," navigators have another great option for assisting patients that fall through the cracks of the existing programs: Medication Rescue.
