Kick off the summer with us at our 2026 Parties in the Park! These FREE, family-friendly outdoor events are designed to bring the disability community together to connect, learn, and have fun. We will be in Memphis on May 30th, Nashville on June 6th, and Chattanooga on June 13th. All events take place from 11 AM to 1 PM local time and will include free food, games, community resources, and access to an adult-sized changing table.

Whether you stop by for a little while or stay for the entire event, we’d love to see you there! RSVP is required to attend. You can RSVP and learn more about each event on our website: https://tndisability.org/parties-in-the-park/

Interested in exhibiting at one of these events? Space for exhibit tables is limited, and organizations must complete the online request form on our website.

We are a couple weeks away from our Global Accessibility Awareness Day virtual training! This year we are happy to partner with The STAR Center, Inc. to provide an in-depth webinar that covers accessibility coverage for:
- Educational Settings and Classroom Technology
- Home Goods and Consumer Products
- Seniors and Aging Adults

Here’s the reality - Memphis streets are dangerous. We are rated #1 in the nation for both pedestrian fatalities and car crashes.

How do we start to move the needle toward safe streets?

We need all hands on deck. And that includes neighborhoods! But what should neighborhoods be allowed to do with city approval and guidelines? Set up a makeshift roundabout? Extend a curb? Create a temporary bike lane with cones?

The City of Memphis planning department is trying to figure that out and wants YOUR input. Take the survey at the link in our bio, and please share it with your networks! Comment to boost this to a wider audience and let us know what YOU want to see in your neighborhood.
