The truth I’ve been hiding… 😋
… is that after almost 9 years of offering Reiki professionally in Meridian, MS, I still struggle with how to explain what a session feels like to someone who’s never experienced one before. 🥹
How would I explain the feeling of exhilaration you get from a roller coaster ride if you’ve never been on a roller coaster before? I could show you what the roller coaster looks like and explain how it works, but until you get on the ride—you can’t fully understand what it’s like. 🎢 (weeee!)
When I finish a session for a new client, the usual look I get is a wide-eyed “WOW.” 🤩
Then I usually ask them, “Now, how would you describe what you just felt to someone else?” 🙂
They can describe the sensations (tingling, warmth, coolness, waves of energy, deep relaxation), but there’s no way to describe the carefree, worry-free, my-burdens- feel-gone, the-world-seems-brighter-and- lighter… where-has-this-been-my-whole-life, and why-didn’t-I-know-about-it-sooner feeling.

Another truth I’ve been hiding… throughout the last 9 years, I have seriously downplayed how many clients I have helped. 😋
I’ve personally helped over 700 people in Meridian and the surrounding areas. (I stopped counting at 700.) 😬
I’ve had clients travel from as far as Citronelle, AL, and as close as my next-door neighbor.
During that time, I’ve developed my own personal Reiki technique of running energy and clearing the body in unique ways—methods that are not taught in Reiki classes. 😋
I’ve also developed different ways of setting uplifting and powerful intentions using sound waves and vibrations, grounding and balancing tools, and aromatic, mood-stabilizing tools to help lift your state of consciousness and deepen your experience during your session. 💛✨✨
From the moment your session begins to the moment it ends, you are held in safety with only the highest intentions for your well-being and comfort in mind. ✨🪴✨
Everyone experiences Reiki differently—because no two people are alike, no two sessions are alike. 🙂↔️
So maybe… that’s another reason it can be so difficult to describe. 😏
Reiki energy is intelligent, and it knows exactly what you need at the time of your session. And that’s what it will help to fix. 💫
Just like a body being fitted for a suit… the tailor fits one person perfectly for their suit and fits another person differently for theirs—because their bodies are different, and they have different needs. 👔👗
So, to anyone who asks me what Reiki is like and feels like my response is vague or unclear… I apologize. ✨🙏
Reiki is nothing like what you’ve experienced before, and there’s nothing I can compare it to that would truly help you understand. 💞
