Rev. Mahoney, Founding Board Member of Stanton Healthcare, joined with 100 men for a 5:30 AM prayer meeting at Awaken Church to pray for a NO vote on Prop 1.

In the closing days of this campaign, Stanton encourages everyone to spend time in prayer and fasting for a NO vote that will protect Idaho’s children and women!

“In one week, the beautiful State of Idaho will be casting the most important vote in our history. Idahoans will be voting on Proposition 1 (Prop 1) which is a radical abortion voter initiative.

In light of Prop 1’s extremism, it is CRITICAL EVERY Christian goes to the polls and VOTES!

Here is the reality. If the faith community comes out to vote, we will protect Idaho’s mothers and their children and defeat this extremist pro-abortion voter initiative!

Below are 10 reasons why every Christian should vote.”

1.) Voting publicly recognizes that we submit to the authority of the political system in our nation as established by God. (Romans 13:1–7)
2.) Voting recognizes the equality of all people and their right to speak and be heard. (Deuteronomy 10:17–19)
3.) It is one way that we can obey God’s command to seek the good of those around us and our nation as a whole. (Jeremiah 29:5–6)
4.) It shows that we care deeply about who our leaders are as we are urged to offer prayer and intercession on their behalf. (1 Timothy 2:1–2)
5.) It is a simple yet significant way we can do something about public policy in our nation. (Psalms 34:14)
6.) It makes a difference the way a grain of salt makes a difference and that is how we are to influence our society for good. (Matthew 5:13)
7.) It is a privilege not to be taken for granted. Those of us who reap the benefits of living in a democracy should play a part in upholding democracy.
8.) Not voting is a form of voting, as it will influence the outcome. We need to take responsibility for our actions, as well as our lack of actions. (Luke 10:25–37)
9.) Voting has biblical precedence, for example Acts 14:23 describes that the early Christians elected elders by voting.
10.)Voting is part of our stewardship to use all the resources we have been given in ways that honor God; to waste a vote is to squander a gift.

You may have heard claims that Idaho’s pro-life laws put the health of pregnant mothers at risk. That is simply not true.

Since the Defense of Life Act went into effect in 2022, there has not been a single reported death from an illegal abortion in Idaho.

Idaho’s maternal mortality rate has also declined since 2022 and remains well below the national average.

Idaho’s abortion laws protect Idaho women, children, and physicians. Proposition 1 would remove those protections, put women at greater risk, and allow for the loss of countless preborn lives in Idaho.

At Stanton Healthcare, our number one priority is the safety and wellbeing of the women we serve. Proposition 1 will not improve women’s health in Idaho.

Proposition 1 is too extreme, and we urge you to vote NO!

“Today I voted NO on Prop 1 for the women and babies of Idaho.

This is a deeply personal issue to me. I have cared for countless women who experienced an abortion that traumatized them and changed them forever.

We all probably know someone who has been affected by abortion, but most are too fearful or ashamed to share their story publicly. I have the unique opportunity to share on their behalf.

I can assure you as a healthcare professional that abortion is NEVER the answer.

If you have questions or concerns about our current protective pro-life laws, please ask me about it. I’d be happy to chat.

Nancy Ferris is a Board Member of Stanton Healthcare and on their Executive Leadership Team.

Nancy voted NO on Prop 1 because it allows abortions for innocent babies through viability, it will permit teens to obtain abortions without their parent’s consent and would put women’s health at risk by allowing unqualified people to perform abortions.

Stanton encourages everyone to vote early and post a picture of themselves on social media voting NO for Prop 1!
