A normal TSH doesn’t always tell the whole thyroid story. There are different patterns of thyroid dysfunction, and understanding the full picture may require looking beyond TSH alone—including Free T4, Free T3, thyroid antibodies, and other markers when clinically appropriate.

At Dose, we don’t want to simply ask, “Is your TSH in range?” We want to understand:
🧪 Is your thyroid producing enough hormone?
🔬 Is your body converting thyroid hormone appropriately?
🛡️ Could autoimmune thyroid disease be contributing?
🧠 Are other metabolic, nutritional, hormonal, or lifestyle factors affecting how you’re feeling?

If you’ve been told your thyroid is “fine” but you still don’t feel like yourself, it’s worth taking a deeper look. Visit the link in our bio to find a provider.

The scale (and even your BMI) can’t tell you the whole story. Someone can look lean on the outside while dealing with insulin resistance, unfavorable lipid levels, excess visceral fat, or low muscle mass underneath.

That’s why at Dose, we look beyond weight. We may evaluate:
🧪 Fasting insulin — how your body is responding to and managing energy
🩸 Lipid markers — including cholesterol and triglyceride patterns
📏 Waist circumference — a simple marker that can provide insight into visceral fat
💪 Body composition — how much of your weight is muscle, fat, and visceral fat

The earlier you identify metabolic dysfunction, the more opportunity you have to address it. 📩 DM us “METABOLIC” to schedule a comprehensive metabolic evaluation.

You don’t have to feel inflammation for it to be affecting your health. Chronic, low-grade inflammation can quietly build for years, often before a diagnosis ever appears. And the frustrating part? A standard annual physical may not tell you much about what’s driving it.

At Dose, we look beyond the obvious symptoms and ask a different question: What’s keeping the fire burning? That means looking at markers like hs-CRP, fasting insulin, homocysteine, ferritin, and omega-3 status—then investigating the potential drivers behind those numbers.

Save this post as a reminder to look beyond the standard annual panel. 📩 DM us “INFLAMMATION” to schedule a comprehensive inflammatory, metabolic, and hormone evaluation.

Trouble sleeping. More anxiety. Weight that suddenly won’t budge. Mood swings. Hair and skin changes. If you’re in your late 30s or 40s, it might not be “just stress.” It could be perimenopause.

Many women are surprised to learn that perimenopause can begin years before menopause, even while their periods are still regular. As hormones begin to shift, it’s common to notice changes in sleep, mood, energy, metabolism, and overall well-being.

At Dose, we use comprehensive hormone and metabolic testing to understand where you are in the transition and create a personalized plan based on your symptoms and your labs.

One of the most nutrient-dense foods available is something many people never consider: organ meats.

Liver and other organs are naturally rich in nutrients like vitamin A, B vitamins (especially B12), iron, copper, zinc, and other essential vitamins and minerals that support energy production, immune function, and overall health.

If eating organ meats isn’t your thing, there are high-quality supplements available—but sourcing matters. Always choose products that are third-party tested and come from reputable manufacturers. 📩 DM us “NUTRITION” to schedule a personalized nutrition and wellness consultation.

Low testosterone isn’t just an “older man” problem anymore. More and more men in their 30s and 40s are struggling with fatigue, brain fog, stubborn weight gain, low motivation, reduced muscle mass, and a declining s*x drive, only to be told their labs are “normal.”

Here’s the problem: normal doesn’t always mean optimal. At Dose, we don’t stop at a single testosterone number. We look at the full picture, including hormone balance, metabolic health, thyroid function, inflammation, sleep, and lifestyle factors that could be contributing to your symptoms.

When testosterone replacement therapy is clinically appropriate, it can be life-changing. But it should always be part of a comprehensive plan that’s built around you. 📩 DM us “MEN” to schedule a comprehensive men’s hormone and metabolic assessment.

Heavy periods. Bloating. Tender breasts. Mood swings. These symptoms are often blamed on “high estrogen”, but the picture is usually more complex.

Hormone balance is influenced by many factors, including liver function, gut health, nutrition, medications, and your body’s natural hormone fluctuations. That’s why we don’t believe in guessing. At Dose, we take a comprehensive approach to hormone health by looking at your symptoms, medical history, and advanced lab testing to understand what’s actually driving how you feel.

If you’ve been struggling with:
- Heavy or painful periods
- Breast tenderness
- Bloating
- Mood changes
- Cycles that just don’t feel like they used to..it’s worth digging deeper. 📩 DM us “HORMONES” to schedule a comprehensive hormone evaluation and get to the root cause of your symptoms.

Cold plunges are one of the most talked-about wellness trends, but what does the research actually say? 🧊 Here’s the good news: cold exposure does have real physiological effects. It can increase norepinephrine, activate brown fat, and support your body’s natural inflammatory response. But it’s not a magic bullet for fat loss or metabolism.

Here’s what the evidence actually supports:
🧊 Aim for about 11 minutes of cold exposure per week, split into multiple sessions.
🌡️ Water temperature around 50–55°F is where most research has been conducted.
🏋️ Skip the plunge immediately after strength training, as cold exposure may reduce some of the muscle-building adaptations to your workout. Before training or several hours afterward is generally a better option.
⚠️ If you’re pregnant or have certain cardiovascular conditions or other medical concerns, talk with your healthcare provider before starting cold exposure.

Save this for your next cold plunge, and comment “COLD” if you want our evidence-based protocol.

The wellness industry has turned IV therapy into a menu of trendy drips, but the truth is: your body doesn’t need the same nutrients as everyone else’s. At Dose, we believe in testing before treating.

That’s why we start with comprehensive lab work to identify nutrient deficiencies, inflammation, hormone imbalances, and metabolic health before recommending an IV protocol.

But no IV can replace the fundamentals:
✔️ Proper nutrition
✔️ Quality sleep
✔️ Hormone optimization
✔️ Strength training
✔️ Metabolic health

Our protocols are built around your lab results, monitored by experienced providers, and adjusted as your health evolves. That’s the difference between an IV experience and evidence-based IV therapy.

Save this post for the next time you’re considering an IV, and share it with someone who’s curious about the difference.

Peptides are everywhere right now. Social media makes them sound like a magic solution for everything from weight loss to muscle growth, better sleep, glowing skin, and longevity. The reality? Some peptides have strong clinical evidence behind them. Others are still being studied. And some simply aren’t ready for routine use.

At Dose, peptide therapy is never one-size-fits-all. We start with comprehensive lab testing to evaluate your hormones, metabolic health, inflammation, and overall physiology.

Always work with a licensed healthcare provider and a reputable pharmacy. If a product is marketed with no medical oversight, no lab work, and no follow-up plan, it’s worth asking more questions before putting it in your body.

Save this guide for future reference, share it with someone who’s peptide-curious.
