Parkinson’s & Dementia Awareness
Understanding Movement and Memory Challenges
Parkinson’s and Dementia often overlap, affecting both physical movement and cognitive function. Over time, individuals living with Parkinson’s may experience memory loss, confusion, or hallucinations known as Parkinson’s Disease & Dementia.
At Agape Day Center for Adults, we provide compassionate, specialized care for seniors living with Parkinson’s, Alzheimer’s, and other forms of dementia. Our goal is to help each participant maintain dignity, independence, and joy through structured activities, social engagement, and personalized support.
💛 Key Facts:
• Parkinson’s affects nearly 1 million Americans — projected to reach 1.2 million by 2030.
• About 75% of those living with Parkinson’s for more than 10 years may develop dementia.
• Early awareness and supportive care improve quality of life for both individuals and families.
