Move Better. Feel Better. Perform Better.

⚡ The sciatic nerve is the largest and longest nerve in the body—and when it becomes irritated, you can feel symptoms far beyond your low back.

The sciatic nerve travels from the lower spine through the gluteal region and down the leg. When the nerve or the nerve roots that contribute to it become irritated, symptoms may travel along that pathway.

✔️ Pain into the glute or leg
✔️ Burning or electric sensations
✔️ Numbness and tingling
✔️ Increased nerve sensitivity
✔️ In some cases, weakness

At ASR Sports Medicine, we don’t just treat where you feel the symptoms. We evaluate the low back, hips, neurological function, and movement patterns to determine what may be irritating the nerve.

Sciatica isn’t simply “back pain.” When symptoms are traveling down the leg, your nervous system may be involved.

📍Find the irritation. Restore movement. Rebuild your capacity.

🔒 Your shoulder didn’t necessarily lose mobility—it may have lost permission to move.

When your body senses pain, instability, weakness, or a lack of control, it can become protective. Muscles tighten, movement becomes guarded, and suddenly a range of motion you used to have feels restricted.

That’s why forcing your shoulder deeper into a stretch isn’t always the answer.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we work to understand why your body is protecting that range and progressively give it a reason to trust movement again.

✔️ Improve shoulder and thoracic mobility
✔️ Build rotator cuff strength
✔️ Restore scapular control
✔️ Strengthen through previously restricted ranges
✔️ Gradually rebuild tolerance and confidence with movement

Sometimes mobility isn’t just about flexibility—it’s about having enough strength, stability, and control for your nervous system to allow the movement.

📍Don’t just force more range. Build the capacity to own it.

ALIGN. STRENGTHEN. RECOVER.

⚡ A low-back injury can affect more than just your back.

When your lumbar spine isn’t moving or tolerating load well, your body may compensate through the pelvis and hips. Depending on the underlying injury, this can contribute to sciatic symptoms or movement patterns that aggravate hip impingement-related pain.

That’s why treating only where you feel the pain may not be enough.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we evaluate how your low back, pelvis, hips, and nervous system are working together.

✔️ Assess lumbar spine mobility
✔️ Evaluate sciatic nerve involvement
✔️ Identify hip mobility restrictions
✔️ Address pelvic and movement compensations
✔️ Rebuild strength and tolerance to load

Your back, hips, and nerves don’t function independently. When one area isn’t doing its job efficiently, another area may start taking on more stress.

📍Don’t just chase where it hurts. Find out what’s contributing to the problem.

⚡ Sciatica isn’t just back pain—it’s pain that radiates down your leg.

Sciatica refers to symptoms associated with irritation or compression affecting the sciatic nerve or its nerve roots. That can create pain, burning, tingling, numbness, or even weakness that travels from the low back or glute into the thigh, calf, or foot.

That’s why simply treating where your back hurts may not be enough.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we evaluate the entire neurological and movement picture to understand what may be driving your symptoms.

✔️ Assess nerve tension and sensitivity
✔️ Evaluate lumbar spine and hip mobility
✔️ Test strength and neurological function
✔️ Identify movements that aggravate or relieve symptoms
✔️ Build a progressive rehabilitation plan

If the pain is traveling, the evaluation needs to look beyond the painful spot.

📍Don’t just chase the back pain. Find out why symptoms are traveling down your leg.

⚡ PEMF therapy can be another tool to support your recovery.

Pulsed Electromagnetic Field (PEMF) therapy uses electromagnetic pulses to interact with tissues at the cellular level. Depending on the condition and device, it may be used as an adjunct to help manage pain and support the recovery process.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we don’t rely on one modality—we combine recovery tools with movement, strength, and rehabilitation to address the bigger picture.

✔️ May help reduce pain and discomfort
✔️ Can support recovery between training sessions
✔️ Non-invasive treatment option
✔️ Can complement hands-on treatment and rehabilitation
✔️ Helps create another avenue for managing symptoms while you rebuild

PEMF isn’t a replacement for strength, mobility, or proper rehabilitation. It’s a tool that can be incorporated into a comprehensive recovery plan.

📍Recover better. Move better. Build a body that can handle more.

🦵 Your knee pain may not be from weakness—it may be from how you’re absorbing force.

Every step, squat, jump, and landing sends force through your body. If your hips, ankles, and core aren’t distributing that force efficiently, your knees often end up taking more stress than they were designed to handle.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we don’t just make your muscles stronger—we improve how your body accepts, controls, and redirects force.

✔️ Evaluate your movement mechanics
✔️ Improve hip and ankle mobility
✔️ Build single-leg stability
✔️ Retrain landing and deceleration mechanics
✔️ Increase your body’s ability to absorb and produce force

Pain isn’t always a sign that you’re weak. Sometimes it’s a sign that your body is loading the right structures at the wrong time.

📍Don’t just strengthen your knees. Learn how to move so your knees don’t have to do all the work.

🍑 Your glute didn’t disappear—your body just stopped using it.

If your glutes aren’t doing their job, your hamstrings, hip flexors, low back, and even your knees often pick up the slack. Over time, those compensations can lead to pain, stiffness, and decreased performance.

At ASR Sports Medicine, we don’t just tell you to “activate your glutes.” We identify why they’ve stopped contributing in the first place.

✔️ Restore hip mechanics
✔️ Improve pelvic control
✔️ Rebuild glute strength and coordination
✔️ Reduce compensation through the low back and hamstrings
✔️ Improve performance in walking, lifting, running, and sport

Weakness isn’t always the problem. Sometimes the muscle is strong—it just isn’t being recruited when your body needs it.

📍The goal isn’t bigger glutes. It’s getting them to do the job they were designed for.
