A week from tomorrow is September the 11th. Patriot Day or the National Day of Service and Remembrance. I guess you get to pick which ever one you like. What I can tell you is that of the nearly 3,000 Americans that died that day, there were 343 fire fighters, 1 fire patrolman (yeah, I had to look that one up too), 60 Law Enforcement Officers and 8 Medics. But there was another number that rarely gets mentioned at all. There were 55 military personnel at the Pentagon that also died from those attacks. Now I have been a Firefighter, I am a Veteran and I am a Medic. So like many who are or have been one or more of these, I feel it too. These people stand between you and the dangers that sometimes jump squarely in our paths. So next Friday, please don't forget those people who were and are there for you and me when we are having our worst day ever. Thank you Justin, Ricky, Gene, Eunice, James and all the rest. Thank you SCES, NCFD, WMC, Wyoming Life Flight. Thank you NCSO & WHP.

Today our Rapid Response Team graduated 5 new EMT students. 180 hours, many long days in class, lecture after lecture, long nights doing time in the ER, countless hours studying and day after day preparing for the NR. We would like to congratulate Tyler, Brittany, Max, Dakota and Clifford on their completion of the Emergency Medical Technicians course. We would also like to say thank you to Art from OEMS for making a trip down to help with our graduation and give our students their state patches! Congratulations graduates, you earned this!! 🎓
