As Busy Bee Pediatrics enters a new chapter, one thing remains unchanged, our commitment to caring for your children and your family.

While we will soon say farewell to Dr. Sarah McNeill, Dr. Kirstin Mosley and the dedicated team at Busy Bee Pediatrics remain here and ready to care for your little ones. From well-child visits and sick visits to ongoing pediatric care and support, families can continue to count on the compassionate, high-quality care they know and trust.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. McNeill for the kindness, compassion, and dedication she has shared with our patients and families over the years, and we wish her all the best as she begins her next chapter.

🩹 Could It Be Impetigo?

Busy Bee Pediatrics is seeing an increase in impetigo cases in our community, especially among children attending daycare.

Impetigo is a common, highly contagious bacterial skin infection that spreads easily through direct contact with infected skin or by touching contaminated hands or objects.

👀 Watch for:
🐝 Honey-colored or yellow crusting on sores
🐝 Red, irritated, or itchy skin
🐝 Lesions around the nose or mouth (a very common location)
🐝 Sores that seem to spread quickly

🧼 Help prevent the spread:
✔ Wash hands frequently
✔ Bathe daily and gently clean the skin
✔ Avoid scratching or picking at sores
✔ Encourage children to avoid touching their face
✔ Don't share towels, washcloths, or personal items

If you think your child may have impetigo, cover any draining or open sores with a bandage and schedule an evaluation as soon as possible. Early treatment can help prevent it from spreading to others.

We hope you and your family enjoy a safe and fun-filled Fourth of July weekend! Remember to keep little ones hydrated, use sunscreen, and practice fireworks safety.

Our office will reopen during normal business hours following the holiday.
