Let’s talk about reality

I sometimes hear…
“I just love the ones you’ve posted, but why doesn’t my images look like that?”
Or
“I just expected a clear face shot, should I roll to the other side”

But honestly, here it is, there are SOOO many factors as to why we don’t always get lucky to have clear images..

Some to point out
• is mom dehydrated?
•what type of placenta do you have?
•was the baby cooperative during the scan? Was there a hand in the face the whole time?
•was the face in the placenta?
•how far along are you during the appointment?

Many of these factors can be so discouraging to a mother whose spent months just wanting to see what her sweet little baby looks like

But there are some things that can help this…

We recommend
•Drinking extra water at least 3-5 days up to your scheduled appointment and prior to arriving (the more hydrated the better we can see baby
•Have a sugary snack or fruity drink (we’re okay with coffee and pop too 😉)
•And lastly, be prepared to do some jumping jacks or squats to try and move that baby if they are in an uncooperative position

We are never shy about offering a rescan (or 2 over here) so if you can’t see baby, THAT’S okay, we got you ❤️❤️ (plus the chance to see baby again.. why not!! Right!?)
