Today i did a five minute interview on a podcast as an herbalistand natural health consultant. Then I went to bed, because third shift dictates I do that. Six hours later I received a phone call from a rep from the podcast. He was giving me a spiel about how I "scored high" on my interview, yadda yadda. Now...I HAVE a podcast (Wholistic Bad Ass). It is available on the very same platforms as the podcast in question. I KNOW there is no scoring that happens. *sigh*
So dude continues his monologue and comes to, "does this sound like something that would interest you?" He was asking if I'd want to be on a series of Q&A podcasts covering herbalism and natural health. Well, hell yes I'm interested....BUT i was getting a bit of the tingly spidey senses in the background. My answer, "i am, but let's cut to the chase: is this going to cost me money?"
The guy gets completely off-the-chain offended, "is this how you talk to people? 'Let's cut to the chase'?"
I respond, "in this particular instance, yes."
He hung up on me!
Y'all!!! If you want to listen to a legit podcast, there are many, including mine. I'm not out here charging my guests. I'm just trying to spread the word.
