Designed to help you relax, reset, and support your everyday recovery. What is Float Therapy? Float therapy is quite simply the most incredible means of stress relief and relaxation available. The pod contains 10 inches of super-saturated salt solution which creates an environment similar to the Dead Sea. When inside the pod, the individual floats effortlessly on the surface. The water is heated t

o skin temperature (93.5 degrees) which makes it virtually impossible for the individual to distinguish between parts of the body that are in contact with the water and those that aren’t. In effect the brain is “fooled” into believing the person is floating in mid-air. Unless you are an astronaut, this is the only situation you will encounter where your body is completely free from the harmful forces of gravity…every single muscle in the body is allowed to totally relax. If you wish to use ear plugs and turn the tank’s interior lights off, the quietness and dark environment allow the mind to drift into the deepest state of relaxation possible. The buoyancy created by the dense Epsom Salt solution effectively removes the effects of gravity on the body and brings the individual close to an experience of total weightlessness. Because a massive amount of brain-power is used every second in order to deal with the huge strain that gravity places on one’s body, this is the only environment which allows the brain to completely shut down and relax. With no commands needing to be sent out, the logical side of the brain is rendered redundant, and its activity slows down until it synchronizes with the creative side. This leaves the individual in a dream-like state, akin to the thoughts experienced just before you go to sleep. In this state, the brain releases vast amounts of endorphins. While the state of relaxation may be deep and profound, the individual’s brain stays dreamily alert. To get technical, the brain gradually shifts from its usual “alpha” state to generate theta waves (the state-of-mind that Buddhist monks try to reach through hours of meditation and years of training.) You can achieve this in a matter of minutes just by lying down! Best of all, the effects of floatation are cumulative – the more regularly you float, the better it gets. Benefits:
-Decrease in pain with an increase in mood (Endorphins).

At the spa, we don't believe there's one perfect way to take care of yourself.

Some days, recovery looks like rest. Some days, it's a massage. Some days, it's sitting quietly in a sauna, floating in a pod, or simply giving yourself a moment to slow down.

We spend so much time taking care of everyone and everything around us that we often forget we need care too.

And the truth is, wellness isn't always about the body. Your mind has to be supported, too. When your mind feels overwhelmed, stressed, exhausted, or disconnected, your body often follows. That's why we believe in creating space for both.

What we offer isn't a magic fix. They're simply tools. Tools that can help you reset, recover, breathe deeper, think clearer, move better, and show up more fully in your everyday life.

The best part? Most of our services take less than an hour. Less than an hour to invest back into yourself.

Our goal has never been to tell you what your wellness journey should look like. Our goal is to provide options, education, and tools so you can find what works for you.

Because feeling your best doesn't always require a complete life overhaul. Sometimes it starts with taking one small hour for yourself.

We're grateful to be one of those tools for our community.

Float therapy is one of those experiences that can be hard to explain until you've tried it for yourself.

We hear the same questions all the time:
Do I need to know how to swim?
Will I feel claustrophobic?
What am I supposed to do for an hour?
Can floating really help me relax?

So we put together a new blog that dives into the history of float therapy, answers our most frequently asked questions, and shares some of the things we hear from guests after their sessions.

What started as a scientific study decades ago has become a wellness tool used by everyone from athletes and busy parents to those simply looking for a little peace and quiet in a world that rarely slows down.

If you've ever been curious about our float pods, this is a great place to start.

Check out the full blog at the link below and learn what floating is all about.

One of our own Healing Oasis team members even created a pot for the event, and we can't wait to see all of the beautiful planters and garden creations on display.

If you're looking for a fun way to spend your evening, stop by, support a great cause, and check out everything this event has to offer. You may even find the perfect addition to your patio or garden.

Massage can be many things, relaxation, recovery, relief, stress management, and even a way to better understand what your body needs. That's why we're always excited when our team continues to expand their education and bring new tools back to our community.

Many of you know Darci as one of our massage therapists, but what you may not know is that she was trained locally by respected massage therapist Erika Bier, building a strong foundation in therapeutic massage from the very beginning of her career.

Since then, Darci has continued to invest in her education, recently expanding her training into Myofascial Release. This is exciting not only for her growth as a therapist, but for the people she serves every day.

While relaxation massage is an incredible tool, some people are looking for more. They may be dealing with chronic tension, restricted movement, old injuries, postural imbalances, recurring discomfort, or simply a feeling that their body isn't moving the way it should. Myofascial Release focuses on the connective tissue throughout the body, helping to address restrictions that can contribute to pain, tightness, and movement limitations. It's a different approach that allows Darci to add another layer of care to her toolbox as she helps clients on their wellness journey.

One of the things we value most at The Healing Oasis is our commitment to growth. We never want to stop learning. The more knowledge, experience, and tools our team can bring to the table, the better we can serve our community.

Massage can be a powerful tool for both relaxation and recovery. For some, that means easing physical tension, improving mobility, and helping the body feel its best. For others, it means quieting a busy mind, stepping away from daily demands, and leaving with a little more energy in the tank. Most often, it's a combination of both.

Recovery isn't always about injury, pain, or performance. Sometimes it's about creating space to reset, recharge, and reconnect with yourself. We believe those moments matter just as much as the physical benefits.

Our goal has always been to create a space where people can find the tools that work for them. A place for relaxation with purpose. A place to recover, relax, learn, recharge, and continue moving forward.

We're grateful to have Darci as part of The Healing Oasis team and excited to see where this next chapter of learning takes her.

In honor of Memorial Day, The Healing Oasis is closed today, Monday, May 25th.

Today we remember and honor those who served and sacrificed for our country.

As we head into the week ahead, take a look through our schedule for massage openings, float pod availability, and recovery services. We also look forward to continuing to share more educational pieces about float therapy, massage therapy, and the wellness tools we offer here at the spa.

If you know a veteran still working through the physical or mental weight that can come from service, many of the services we offer are designed to support relaxation, recovery, nervous system regulation, and rest. We’ve had the privilege of hearing stories from veterans about how float therapy has helped them find moments of quiet, relief, and recovery.

Red light therapy has definitely become one of the more talked about wellness trends lately, but honestly, we get why. It’s simple. You lay back, relax for 10–30 minutes, and let the light do its thing. No downtime, no effort, no overwhelming process.

We currently offer sessions focused on:
• Mood & wellness
• Skin support
• Deep tissue recovery
• Workout recovery
• Sleep support
• Anti-aging support

Red + near infrared light therapy is commonly used to support circulation, muscle recovery, skin health, relaxation, and overall recovery. Around here, we also like to call it a relaxing little mood booster! These sessions pair really well with other services in the spa too, especially sauna, float sessions, massage, or the massage lounger if you’re looking for a more complete recovery/reset style visit.

Short sessions. Quiet environment. Easy to fit into your routine.

Big day for The Healing Oasis!!!

Our new website and booking app are officially live.

These updates have been something we’ve been working on behind the scenes for a while, with one big goal in mind, making things easier, more informative, and more accessible for all of you.

The new website gives a better look into the space, the services, and the tools we offer right here in Mitchell. From float therapy and sauna sessions to massage, recovery services, and more, we wanted a place where people could learn, explore, and better understand what’s available to them.

We also launched a new booking app to make scheduling smoother and more convenient moving forward.

We’re still continuing to grow and refine things, but we’re excited to finally share this next step with you all.
