•Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS), the only board recognized by the American Board of Medical Specialties to certify plastic surgeons of the face and body
Some providers may call themselves "cosmetic surgeons" or claim to be "double" or "triple" board certified but there is no ABMS-approved cosmetic surgery board. That's an important distinction when it comes to training, education, and patient safety
ABPS certification requires rigorous surgical training, strict standards, and ongoing education — all designed to protect you as a patient.
