Ostomy and urological supplies are not "one size fits all."

CMS plans to include essential ostomy & urological supplies in the DMEPOS Competitive Bidding Program by Jan 1, 2028. WOC nurses know access to individualized, properly fitted products prevents severe complications and protects patient care.

Here is what you can do now:
- Educate yourself on competitive bidding, ostomy care, and current advocacy efforts https://hubs.la/Q04vLTx60
- Set up a meeting with your member of Congress/Call their health care staffer https://hubs.la/Q04vLKB30
- Sign the "Keep Them Out" petition https://hubs.la/Q04vL_XV0

Find out what we are advocating for at the federal level & support our initiatives to provide access to cost-effective, outcome-based healthcare solutions for WOC patients.

Are complex fistulas one of the most challenging parts of your WOC practice? You aren't alone.

In Season 5, Episode 2 of the WOCTalk Ostomy Observations podcast series, Dr. John Monson and nurse practitioner Ginny Hanchett discuss standardizing complex fistula care via the new GRIFF (Global Research into Intestinal Failure and Fistula) Collaborative, using the SNAP protocol, and fighting the lack of outpatient supply reimbursement.
