🚨 Having trouble finding your estradiol patch? You’re not alone.

Estradiol patch shortages are affecting certain brands, doses, and manufacturers, leaving many women frustrated and unsure what to do next.

The good news: a shortage of your usual patch does not necessarily mean you have to stop hormone therapy. Depending on availability and your individual needs, options may include:

💊 Switching manufacturers
🔄 Changing from once-weekly to twice-weekly patches
🧴 Using estradiol gel or spray
💊 Temporarily using another form of estrogen
🏪 Checking other pharmacies or mail-order options

It’s important not to change your dose, combine patches, cut patches, or stop progesterone without guidance from your healthcare provider.

Irregular or heavy bleeding during perimenopause is common—but it should never be dismissed as “just hormones” without appropriate evaluation. 🩺

Hormonal fluctuations and inconsistent ovulation can cause cycles to become heavier, longer, closer together, or unpredictable. 🔄 However, abnormal bleeding may also be related to fibroids, polyps, thyroid dysfunction, adenomyosis, endometrial hyperplasia, or—less commonly—cancer.

A thoughtful evaluation may include:

📝 A detailed review of your bleeding pattern and medical history
🩻 A pelvic examination
🧪 Bloodwork to check for anemia, thyroid disease, or other concerns
📷 A transvaginal ultrasound
🔬 An endometrial biopsy when indicated

Most evaluations are reassuring. 💗 Once more serious causes have been ruled out, treatment can focus on reducing bleeding, protecting the uterine lining, and improving your quality of life.

Perimenopause is a transition—but suffering through disruptive bleeding is not a requirement. ✨

Four years ago, Menopause Solutions was founded with a vision: to create a different kind of healthcare experience for women in midlife—one that is personalized, thoughtful, and not limited by the constraints of the traditional insurance-based model.

Today, we are celebrating our 4th anniversary, and we are incredibly grateful.

To our patients: thank you for trusting us, supporting us, and being willing to embrace a new concept in menopausal healthcare. Your openness to a more individualized, relationship-based approach has made this journey possible. It has been an honor to walk alongside you and provide care that prioritizes listening, education, prevention, and whole-person wellness.

Thank you for believing in Menopause Solutions and for helping us grow over these past four years. We are so proud of what we have built together, and we are excited for all that is still to come.

Microdosing GLP-1s (like semaglutide or tirzepatide) usually means using very small, often off-label doses—sometimes below standard starting doses—with the goal of getting ✅ gentler appetite/craving control and 🤢➡️🙂 fewer side effects (like nausea or constipation).

A few important notes 👇
✨ “Microdosing” isn’t an official dosing strategy and there’s no single agreed-upon definition.
🧠 It may be considered for people who are very sensitive to side effects, are weight-stable and focusing on maintenance, or want to titrate up more slowly—under clinician guidance.
⚖️ The tradeoff: lower doses may mean less weight loss (and less impact on metabolic markers) for some people.

If you’re considering a GLP-1, please don’t DIY dosing 🚫💉—these meds should be 🩺 personalized and monitored to keep you safe and help you reach your goals. 💛
