Courtney's walking into two very different rooms today πŸ‘€

Room 1: BOOSTS healing (hydration, proper dressing changes, nutrition, keeping that wound protected)
Room 2: BLOCKS healing (smoking, skipping follow-ups, letting it stay dry and exposed, ignoring the signs of infection)

Same wound, two totally different outcomes depending on which room you're living in.

Which one are you walking into this week?

Fall sports and back-to-the-gym season mean more scrapes, blisters, and turf burns than you've dealt with all summer. Most heal fine with soap, water, and a bandage.

Here's the rule of thumb: if a wound isn't clearly improving within two weeks, it's time to get it looked at. Increasing redness, swelling, pus, or a wound that keeps reopening are all signs to stop waiting it out.

Save this one for when you need it. πŸ“Œ

There's a lot that happens before you ever sit down for your visit. Meet a few of the people who make it happen, from the front desk to the exam room and everywhere in between.

Our team works together so every patient gets the same level of care, every time.

The team behind the care. πŸ’™

Behind every wound care success story is a team that treats patients like family. πŸ’™

At Charleston Wound Care, our team doesn't just treat wounds. They restore confidence, comfort, and hope, one appointment at a time.

This is what compassionate care looks like.

Myth: a scab means your wound is healed.

Reality: not always, a scab can just be sitting on top of bacteria while the wound underneath is still open. If something isn't healing the way it should, don't wait it out.

Kayley Manini, PA-C breaks down this common wound care myth.

Still dealing with a wound that won't fully close? Give us a call. πŸ“ž 843-800-1215

Ask Kayley what she loves most about wound care, and she'll tell you: watching patients heal. πŸ’›

For Kayley Manini, PA-C, the best part of the job is following patients closely week after week and actually seeing their wounds get smaller. Real measurements, real progress, real encouragement for everyone involved.

That's the Charleston Wound Care difference: care that shows up, week after week, until you're healed.

We all know someone who's said, "It'll heal on its own." πŸ‘€
