Hey everyone! 🤎 long post ahead…

There’s so many new faces here so I thought it was probably time to reintroduce myself! My name is Jessalynn (Jess), and I’m the owner of Rooted Ink Tattoos. I currently work out of Salon Monroe in Mount Pleasant, Iowa and I’ve been here for almost 3 years. I’m engaged to my amazing partner of 7 years and we have a 1 year old little girl (if you’ve ever sat in my chair, you know I love to talk all about her 🫣🤣) and 2 crazy fur babies.

A little over 5 years ago, fresh out of high school, I made a huge leap and decided to leave my CNA job to try something a little different, and that led me here! I truly love what I do and where I’m at now. Being able to create meaningful pieces that people carry with them forever is something I’ll never take for granted. Whether it’s something deeply personal, a memorial piece, or just something that makes you feel more like yourself, it means a lot to be trusted with that experience.

I absolutely love getting to hear all your guys’ stories while you’re here. There’s never a dull moment in the shop and I’m so thankful I get to wake up and meet so many amazing people through this job everyday! You all are awesome!

My goal is always to create a clean, comfortable, welcoming environment where my clients can feel relaxed and leave with something they’re proud to wear for life.

Thank you to everyone who has supported me, booked with me, shared my work, or sat in my chair over the years. Rooted Ink Tattoos wouldn’t be what it is without all of you, and I’m so excited to continue growing and creating with you all. 🤎
