💪 You don’t need to spend hours in the gym to make resistance training count.

Dr. Chris recommends aiming for about 60 minutes of resistance training each week, ideally broken into three 20-minute workouts.

But here’s the important part: intensity matters.

If you’re always lifting a weight that feels easy, you may not be challenging your muscles enough to get the full benefit. In this video, Dr. Chris explains what it means to get close to muscle failure, why you don’t have to push all the way there, and how to make a short workout more effective.

The takeaway? Get in. Do the work. Get out. Sometimes more isn’t better. 💙

👋 Hi, I'm Ronii, I help with social media. Outside of Slim Rx, one of my favorite things to do is rehabilitate orphaned baby squirrels until they’re healthy enough to return to the wild.

It takes patience, lots of tiny bottles… and yes, sometimes they end up wearing more formula than they actually drink. 😊

I’ve also been part of the Slim Rx family since 2017, not just as the social media girl, but as a patient. Along my own health journey, I’ve lost more than 40 pounds, and even more importantly, I finally got my hormones balanced. It truly changed my life.

Helping people, whether they have two legs or four tiny paws, is something that’s close to my heart. 💙
