Ever wake up with a “crick in the neck”? It’s best described as neck/shoulder pain and/or tightness to the point that you can barely turn your head and neck. Keeping your shoulder in an elevated position all night, while sleeping, can cause the muscles in the neck and shoulder to become shortened for a long duration. Once awake, and the first movements you make, lengthen the muscles suddenly, and can cause spasms, pain, and stiffness. Massage can absolutely help reduce the tension in the areas that cause this problem!!
