Like most things in training, the answer is somewhere in the middle.
Being heavier doesn’t automatically mean you’ll throw harder. Being lighter doesn’t automatically mean you’ll move better.
The game is about finding the balance between adding usable size and maintaining the movement qualities that make you an athlete.
That said, if you’re a high school pitcher sitting at 150-170 lbs, you haven’t given yourself the best chance to throw as hard as your frame allows.
