🌟 Employee Spotlight: Michael Pronzato 🌟

Meet Michael, Phoenix’s Safety and Regulatory Manager!

Michael joined the Phoenix team nine months ago, bringing a unique background that has taken him from photojournalism in South Carolina, trail work in Montana, and most recently managing a diverse farm in Charlotte, Vermont.

Since joining Phoenix, Michael has enjoyed learning the ins and outs of the feed industry, from logistics and manufacturing to deliveries and quality control. He especially enjoys the problem-solving involved in Quality Control and being part of a team that is always willing to lend a hand.

Outside of work, you’ll often find Michael exploring Vermont and the Northeast by bike, tending to his perennial gardens or caring for his bees.

We’re glad to have Michael on the Phoenix team!

Whether you’re looking to support everyday hydration or need more targeted support for a calf experiencing scours, Phoenix has an electrolyte option to fit your calves’ needs.

Phoenix Calf Electrolyte Pack đź’§
Designed for everyday hydration support, this pack helps encourage fluid intake while providing a very baseload of electrolytes and blood buffers. Feed 25 grams mixed with water between milk feedings to help calves stay hydrated and encourage grain consumption.

Phoenix Calf Revive Electrolyte Pack ✨
Designed for calves experiencing moderate to severe scours, Calf Revive provides a higher concentration of sodium to help replace what calves can lose through diarrhea. Convenient 4 oz. single-serve pouches make it a valuable product to have on hand when a calf needs more intensive electrolyte support.

A great day on the course supporting the next generation of agriculture! ⛳

Last month, Phoenix Feeds & Nutrition was proud to have three teams participate in the Vermont Feed Dealers & Manufacturers Association’s Annual Dollars for Scholars Golf Tournament at Williston Golf Club.

Proceeds from the tournament help fund scholarships for up to 10 talented college-bound students pursuing careers across the agricultural industry, from agricultural economics to veterinary medicine.

As a longtime VFDMA member, Phoenix is proud to support programs that encourage and invest in the future leaders of agriculture. Thank you to everyone who helped make this year’s tournament a success!

NEW SCREENING DATE 8/25: The State of Farming. Get your tickets today at: https://cvfc-vt.com

New screening date! After selling out our August 11 and 12 showings at the Middlebury Marquis, we’re excited to be back with another chance to see the film two weeks later!

Join us for The State of Farming, a new documentary that tells the story of Vermont agriculture through the voices of the farmers who live it every day.

Tuesday, August 25th at 6:00 p.m.

🎟️ Reserve your tickets at cvfc-vt.com. Link in bio.

The film offers an honest, firsthand look at the opportunities and challenges shaping farming in Vermont today. From food production and local economies to water quality, environmental stewardship, regulations, and the future of working lands, the documentary explores the vital role agriculture plays in communities across the state.

Agriculture has always been more than an industry in Vermont. It is the foundation of our landscape, economy, and identity. But rising costs, volatile markets, labor shortages, unpredictable weather, and changing regulations continue to place significant pressure on farm families. Despite these challenges, Vermont farmers continue to innovate, expand conservation practices, produce nutritious food, and strengthen the communities around them.

Supporting local agriculture means more than buying local products. It means recognizing the people behind those products, understanding the realities they face, and ensuring Vermont remains a place where farms can continue to thrive for generations to come.

The State of Farming is proudly produced by Monument Farms, the Vermont Dairy Promotion Council, the Vermont Dairy Producers Alliance, and Mt. Mansfield Media.
