Through reflection, we begin to notice what’s happening. Insight helps us understand what matters, and clarity helps us see where we want to go. Then comes action—choosing a meaningful next step.
But taking action isn’t simply about doing more. The next step needs to be specific and realistic enough to fit into our lives—and connected to what matters to us.
Small choices, repeated over time, are how new behaviors begin to take hold.
Action gives us a place to begin. What happens next is learning how to keep going.

One of the most meaningful parts of coaching is watching someone begin to see things differently.

Sometimes a new insight is all it takes to make a more intentional choice—and those choices can begin to shape how we care for our well-being.

Most of us already know a lot about what would help us feel better.

Get more sleep.
Move more.
Eat differently.
Manage stress.
Set better boundaries.
Make time for the things that matter.

Knowing isn’t usually the hardest part.

The harder part is figuring out how to make those changes work in a full life —especially when you’ve tried before and eventually found yourself back in the same patterns.

That’s where coaching can be different.

I don’t give people another list of things they “should” be doing.

I help them slow down long enough to understand what’s getting in the way, recognize the patterns that keep pulling them back, and find an approach that actually fits their life.

Insight creates clarity.
Clarity makes action easier.
And repeated action is where change begins to take root.

If you know what you want to change but aren’t getting the results you want, that’s exactly the kind of work I help people with.

What keeps getting in the way for you?

If you’re ready for some support turning what you know into something you can actually put into practice, send me a DM and let’s talk.

Be Well. Stay Well. Live Well.

There’s something about being in nature that helps me reconnect with myself.

Life gets busy. We’re always solving problems, thinking ahead, and moving on to the next thing.

This walk in Colorado gave me the chance to step away for a little while, take in the beauty around me, and be fully present.

Sometimes that’s exactly what we need.

Have you ever noticed something about yourself that you hadn't seen before?

One of the things I love about coaching is watching those moments unfold.

Sometimes people realize they aren't lacking motivation.

They're just overwhelmed.

Or they discover that the demands of everyday life—not a lack of willpower—have made it difficult to make different choices.

Those moments often become turning points.

Insight helps us see what we couldn't see before.

It helps us understand ourselves with greater clarity and compassion.

Sometimes the smallest insight changes the way we see ourselves—and that can change everything that follows.

Have you ever found yourself doing something you wanted to change...
..and wondered why you keep doing it?

That's a conversation I have often with coaching clients.

Before we try to change a habit, it's helpful to understand what's driving it.

Maybe you've been trying to exercise more consistently.

Maybe you've been reaching for food when you're feeling stressed.

Maybe you've put your own well-being on the back burner for a while.

Those habits usually have something to teach us.

The more we understand our patterns, the easier it becomes to make choices that support the life we want to live.

Today's WellHealth Reflection is an invitation to become curious.

What's one pattern you've noticed about yourself recently?

Before we talk about habits, we begin with something else.
Not about what you want to change.
About the life you're hoping to create.
Before we talk about routines or action steps, we take time to imagine something that's easy to overlook:
What do you want your health and well-being to look and feel like?
When we create a clear vision, our choices begin to have purpose. We're no longer making changes simply because we think we should. Instead, we're making choices that support the life we truly want to live.
Over the next several Wednesdays, I'll be sharing a series of WellHealth Reflections, inspired by years of coaching conversations and what I've learned about creating lasting behavior change.
I hope you'll join me.
If your health and well-being looked exactly the way you hoped it would a year from now, what would be different?

One of the biggest misconceptions about health is believing people struggle because they don't know enough.

The truth is, most people already know the basics.

✔️ Eat more vegetables.
✔️ Move your body.
✔️ Prioritize sleep.
✔️ Manage stress.
✔️ Drink more water.

The challenge usually isn't knowing what to do.

The challenge is turning those good intentions into habits that actually fit everyday life.

That's why behavior change is so personal.

Two people can receive the exact same advice and have completely different outcomes—not because one person cares more, but because every person's life, responsibilities, experiences, environment, and capacity are different.

That's why I believe lasting health isn't about finding the perfect plan. It's about creating habits that are realistic enough to repeat.

Knowing is important.
Doing changes lives.
Repeating those behaviors is what creates habits that last.

That's where health coaching comes in—not by giving people more information, but by helping them stay consistent long enough for healthy behaviors to become part of everyday life.

Excited to be in Aspen this week attending Aspen Ideas Health and learning from some of the brightest minds in health, medicine, science, and innovation.

One of the things I value most about gatherings like this is the opportunity to step away from the day-to-day, meet new people, explore new ideas, and consider how emerging research can help us live healthier, more meaningful lives. 💚

Grateful for the opportunity to learn, reconnect with a dear friend, and return home inspired by the conversations and ideas that will continue to shape my work as a health coach. 💚

If you've been wanting to feel better but don't know where to start...

you're not alone.

Most people don't struggle because they don't care.

They struggle because real life gets busy. Stress happens. Energy dips. Priorities compete for attention.

This checklist isn't about doing it all.

It's about choosing one simple habit you can return to and build on over time.

In my work as a health coach, we don't start with everything at once.

We start with one small step that fits your life right now.

That's what creates lasting change.

What's one habit you'd like to focus on this week?
