Hello out there! It's been a while, but today my kids are pushing me to keep the creative channels open, and they’re right (thank you boys!).

This is my latest business card layout. The logo is a self-portrait that has evolved with me over the years, from blonde to red hair, hood up to hood down, etc. Maybe you've noticed, even better if you didn't. Why? Because design should be a smooth, seamless transition that keeps your brand recognition completely intact, sometimes so effortlessly it goes unnoticed.

While my days are deeply focused on systemic wellness consulting, I still love getting my hands dirty with visual arts. I currently manage all my own branding and actively service several long-term design clients. Ever feel like you’re hitting a wall, but you’re not actually depressed? You’re still checking the boxes, doing the work, and keeping it together on the outside, but inside, everything just feels heavy, numb, and totally locked up. That is functional freeze.

It’s what happens when your nervous system gets overwhelmed and just clicks into survival mode to protect you. You aren’t lazy or broken; your subsystem is literally just frozen.

I wanted to talk about this on my walk today because getting out into nature is one of the fastest ways to tell your body it’s safe to start thawing out. Paired with the Fearless Heart mudra, it gives your system a tangible anchor to move through the stagnation and get back into a natural flow.

It’s a privilege to hold space for the people who spend their days looking after our communities. Seeing the registration list grow with professionals from the Office of Mental Health, , and Catholic Charities is a powerful reminder of how much this reset is needed.

When our frontline healers and advocates prioritize their own grounding, the impact ripples out to everyone they support. I’m incredibly grateful for the trust these organizations have placed in this work.

Join me at at 5:30 PM for a practice designed to ground your body and clear your mind. This is an all-levels class where we’ll blend gentle movement, breathwork, and dedicated time for reflection.

The Mantra: Om Shanti Shanti Shanti. A full-spectrum calm for the internal, the external, and the universal.

The Mudra: Apana. The Mudra of Elimination to ground yourself and release stagnant energy.

The Breath: Sitali. The cooling breath to soothe the nervous system and drop the heat of the week.
