What an inspiring plenary session at ACRM, featuring Alison Barkoff!

A passionate disability rights advocate and current professor at the Milken Institute School of Public Health, Alison previously led the Administration for Community Living (ACL)—the same federal agency that funded NeuroTechR3’s research and development efforts to explore how our R3THA exergaming platform can provide children with cerebral palsy (CP) an accessible, affordable, and engaging way to improve hand function and foster greater independence.

Her message was a powerful reminder of why we do what we do: translating research and innovation into real-world solutions that empower people with disabilities to live more independently and participate fully in everyday life.

Excited to present findings from our Binaural Beat Pilot Study at ACRM 2026 in Washington, D.C.!

Our preliminary findings suggest that combining personalized binaural beats with R3THA exergaming may improve motor performance and enhance functional brain connectivity in both healthy individuals and people with stroke. These encouraging results open new opportunities to explore how personalized auditory neuromodulation can enhance neurorehabilitation.

Looking forward to sharing our research, exchanging ideas, and connecting with fellow rehabilitation researchers and innovators!

We’re sharing NeuroTechR3’s latest pediatric rehabilitation research at the AACPDM Annual Meeting in Philadelphia! Our poster, “Feasibility and Outcomes of Integrating Personalized and Goal-driven Exergaming Therapy in an Intensive Rehabilitation Program for Children and Teenagers with Cerebral Palsy and/or Hemiplegia,” explores how personalized exergaming can be integrated into intensive rehabilitation to support goal-directed upper-extremity therapy.
