GLUTES. LEGS. BOOTCAMP
I can divide the women I see at the gym into two categories
The first group firmly believes that classic exercises must eventually work. Squats aren’t building your glutes? Then you just need to do them even more intensely!
The second group believes there’s that one miracle exercise, that one angle that will “engage” the glutes and solve everything.
Both groups are wrong.
Quantity does NOT translate to quality if you’re constantly making mistakes.
That “perfect angle” that will “engage” the glutes simply doesn’t exist.
So what does work?
Proper engagement of the core. Your glutes and legs are part of your body, and when you squat, even your jaw is involved.
And even more so your abs, back, and shoulders…
So when we talk about “engagement,” it’s not about rotating your hips 20 degrees or, God forbid, letting your knees extend past your toes by more than 10 cm.
What works is understanding how your load is distributed throughout the entire muscle chain.
And then it turns out there are no magic angles and no wrong exercises.
There are more effective ones.
