š Sometimes, we all need someone to show up for us.
Lakesha has spent so much of her life showing up for the people she lovesāespecially her children. Sheās the kind of mother who keeps going, keeps providing, and keeps doing what needs to be done.
But right now, Lakesha needs us to show up for her.
Living with SLE Lupus, her health has taken a serious turn since May, leaving her unable to work. Sheās been hospitalized with sepsis, and just when she was preparing to get back on her feet and return to work, she ended up back in the ERāthis time needing emergency cardiac surgery.
Now sheās focused on what matters most: healing and getting stronger.
But while sheās healing, the bills and everyday responsibilities donāt stop.
Thereās still a home to maintain.
Thereās still food to put on the table.
There are medical expenses, transportation needs, and children who still need their mama.
If youāre in a position to give, ANY AMOUNT can make a difference. Your contribution can help take even a little bit of the financial weight off Lakesha and her family while she focuses on getting well.
And if giving financially isnāt possible right now, please share this post. Sometimes your share is what puts the right opportunity, resource, or helping hand in front of someone who can help.
We donāt always know when our turn to need help will come.
So today, letās surround Lakesha with the same kind of love, care, and support she has given to others.
Letās show up for Lakesha. š
