Parents often ask: Is it better for RSV antibodies to come from mom during pregnancy or given directly to the baby? 🤔
The answer: Both works!✨
✔️Maternal RSV vaccine → passes protection to baby before birth.
✔️Infant RSV antibody shot → delivers stronger, longer protection after birth.
Current data shows direct infant antibodies are more effective than maternal vaccination, especially for preterm babies.
Bottom line: Both are safe and protective — but infant antibodies give that extra edge. 👶🏻
