Frustrated by government inaction and public indifference, he co-founded organizations that demanded urgent attention, funding, and care for people affected by HIV/AIDS. His fierce advocacy helped transform the national response to the epidemic.

Kramer’s willingness to speak out, challenge the status quo, and fight for his community cemented his legacy as an LGBTQ+ icon.
