The world lost a little bit of its sparkle today. 💔✨

Dolly Parton was so much more than the hair, the rhinestones and that unmistakable voice. She was funny, generous, wildly talented, unapologetically herself and somehow always made the rest of us feel like it was okay to be unapologetically ourselves, too.

And yes, she loved the hair. The makeup. The nails. The sparkle. The maintenance. 😂💕 Dolly never pretended she just “woke up like this,” and we loved her even more for it.

She reminded generations of women that there’s nothing wrong with putting a little time, effort and intention into feeling like your best self. Taking care of yourself, celebrating yourself and becoming exactly who you want to be was all part of the fun.

Here’s to the ultimate queen of glamour, confidence, kindness and doing it all on purpose.

The world will be a little less sparkly without you.
