MyoLinks, LLC

MyoLinks, LLC It’s painless, exercises are simple, and consistent practice brings lasting results.

Orofacial myology (for thumb sucking, tongue ties, tongue thrust, or airway issues) restores proper rest posture: tongue fully on palate, lips sealed, nasal breathing.

Getting kids to stick to their myofunctional therapy exercises can definitely test a parent’s patience! This approach has been a game-changer in my clinic, and I knew I had to share it.
If you’re struggling to get your child to sit down and do their daily exercises, this information is absolute gold. Check it out!

Identical twins. Same age. Same genetics.
Different breathing. Different faces.

Look at this photo.
One twin primarily nose-breathes.
The other primarily mouth-breathes.

The differences aren’t subtle:
• Tongue posture
• Palate width
• Oxygenation
• Nervous system state
• Head & body posture

Mouth breathing isn’t just a “habit.”
It changes how the face grows, how well we sleep, how calm (or stressed) our nervous system stays, and how efficiently we oxygenate.

At MyoLinks, we help kids and adults retrain the muscles of the face, tongue, and airway so nasal breathing becomes the default — supporting better growth, better sleep, and better overall function.

Is your child (or you) a mouth breather?
Early intervention can make a real difference.

Look at the difference just a few months of myofunctional therapy can make!
Same child, same side view — before treatment his head sat forward and his chin looked recessed. Now his posture is taller, his jaw sits farther forward, and his profile looks stronger and more balanced. Small daily habits with the tongue, lips, and breathing really do change how kids carry themselves.
If your child struggles with mouth breathing, tongue thrust, or posture issues, you’re not alone.

😲 Parents, did you know chronic mouth breathing in kids isn’t harmless? It can seriously affect growth — especially their face and jaw.
Key Effects:
• Craniofacial changes (ages 6–14 are critical): longer face (“adenoid facies”), narrow upper jaw, high-arched palate, recessed chin, crowded teeth, and smaller airways.
• Sleep-disordered breathing: Mouth breathing often signals issues like enlarged adenoids/tonsils or allergies. This disrupts deep sleep, reducing growth hormone release and contributing to stunted overall growth or “failure to thrive.”
It’s not usually the sole cause of severe short stature (like malnutrition), but it’s a real contributing factor that improves when addressed early.
Good news: Early intervention works! Fix nasal issues, practice nasal breathing + myofunctional therapy, and monitor with ENT/ortho. The sooner, the better — many changes become harder to reverse after puberty.
Protect your child’s development — breathe through the nose! 💨

When your myofunctional therapist catches you letting your tongue drop during the day:

"I see you! Put it right back up on the SPOT!" 🛑👉

Proper tongue-to-palate rest position takes practice, but consistency is how we win the game of optimal airway health and muscle function. Consider this your friendly, laser-focused reminder to check your posture right now. Is your tongue resting on the roof of your mouth?
