May…. Still playing catch up ❤️

This repeat family had this little guy quickly and easily at OKC Birth & Wellness Center w the help and support of Assistant turned back up Midwife Caitlin of Caitlin Balding | LM, BSM, CPM.

Such a redemptive birth after a long and tiring first birth for them 🥹 I’m so grateful for such a good team and a solid back up plan. Team work. 🙌🏻

Shout out to Juliet of Juliet Henson for assisting and letting Jess of ☀️ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅᴇɴ ᴄᴏʀᴅ ☀️ tag along as apart of her training.

‼️TW: second trimester loss discussed and pictured‼️

🌱Birth & Death:
Death is in fact apart of life and birth is apart of both.

Early May….

🌱This family came into care for a second time after experiencing the early loss of their twins the year prior.

🌱This baby was a very bright rainbow, a blessing after a storm. 🥹 This sweet baby girl, all 12 whole and beautiful ounces of her passed shortly before her 20w scan.

🌱Her parents made a very conscious and intentional choice to labor for her and birth her in such a way that allowed for emotional presence through the experience of this birth. A act of raw and pure love. So beautiful and gentle.

🌱We are always grateful to families who continue to allow us to support and care for them during loss & transfer. Your care doesn’t stop after birth. A full 12 weeks of postpartum support journey begins if you so desire.

🌱In this case, support looks different knowing you carry a baby in your heart and not your arms as your body, heart and mind heal. 🥹

🌱Midwifery is often touted as this completely, squishy, magical calling… Sometimes.. the magic and the calling looks and feels different. The gravity. The emotional capacity required is great and the ability to hold safe and available space is necessary. Things do not always go as we expect.
🌱Sometimes, we birth death in a place where we’ve expected and been told only life comes to.
🌱It is a powerful an under discussed and over protected topic in our culture that unintentionally isolates those who need to be seen ❤️

T family, thank you for allowing us to love and care for you through your pregnancy, birth and postpartum time, your openness and candor are refreshing and inspiring. We are in awe of your strength, your courage and your dedication to nurturing yourself and others as you heal. ❤️🥹

It was such a a privilege care for this family. To witness the “labor bubble” between them.

They had a great doula in Kate who cared for them so gently and so well. ❤️ This birth was really such a lovely birth.

May 2026 🥹

This family came to us with previous experiences that felt out of her control and it was so important to her that she felt grounded & heard. Her care during her pregnancy felt different than previous experiences as well and you don’t know midwifery care until you experience true midwifery care. There’s a lot of love involved for starters🥹

C family- gosh, we are the lucky ones for sure. We have been enriched and blessed by having your family in our office this year. We enjoyed bearing witness to your efforts and see you both lean into your intuitive knowledge that lead to your birth. Thank you for having us ❤️

More April birth catch up- guysssss

First babies are wild. You labor a little and then your get in the thick of it and your husband is t r y i n g to leave this job that just doesn’t really “care” your wife is in labor, but then you make it home…. And 😮‍💨 you made it in time to love her, and squeeze her hips and encourage her through her exhaustion. Only to witness what a perfectly plump daughter looks like … 🥹

Back in April (yeah, I know… it’s July..), this May baby came into the world most unexpectedly at 35 weeks.

Nothing prepares your heart for the concerns that flood your mind when you’re thinking of what your baby may need at birth. 🥹 Abrupt changes and all, they handled it wonderfully ❤️

This baby needed only a warm cozy chest and good milks. They were discharged in a few days ❤️

Their entire birth team is in complete awe of this family and the determination and persistence of working with a baby who doesn’t quite understand she doesn’t get fed through her umbilical cord anymore. 🥴

For the next 6+ weeks they worked diligently with lactation from ☀️ ᴛʜᴇ ɢᴏʟᴅᴇɴ ᴄᴏʀᴅ ☀️ , us and each other.
She did things she felt unsure about and trusted her instincts and her baby and team.

This sweet first born is 14lbs of amazing milk monster 😍

C family we are beyond grateful to of been on this journey with you and soooo flipping proud of guys! This last year with you is one for the books😘

When thinking about booking our facility for your birth, the absolute *FIRST* step of the process is to hire your midwife.

To do so, visit our website and go to the “Affiliate Midwife” page. From there, you are able to explore our midwives’ websites, and book consults with them.

Each of our midwives have very different personalities, which caters to all types of families. However, at the end of the day, all of our affiliates practice safe, evidence based care that is client-centered, and that’s what you can expect when meeting and hiring our affiliate midwives.

✨This 9lb, 6oz home grown, water born brother had 9 excited sibling waiting for his arrival in the early morning of 4/11 ✨

April was full of repeat families 🩷 5 pregnancies as their midwife and we can honestly say it’s always a pleasure to be welcomed into your home prenatally, during your labor and the weeks following for your care.
