Every dot here started the same way. A physician group with a better idea about how care should be delivered, and a piece of ground that was not a facility yet.

Steve Hockert, our Chief Development Officer, joined 42 ASC leaders in Becker's ASC Review to answer one question: what single word describes the future of this industry?

His answer: "The future of the ASC industry is durable."

Not a surge. Not a disruption. The next chapter of a pattern that has been building for two decades. An aging population continues to expand demand. CMS keeps adding to the covered procedures list while raising the bar on quality reporting and transparency. Payers stay aligned with the lower cost setting. Physicians and patients who experience the model tend to prefer it. And the outcomes data has held.

That is the thesis behind every facility we develop. We are not building for a moment in the market. We are building for the long arc of it.

You can measure a surgery facility in square feet. Nobody has ever chosen one that way. Physicians choose a facility for how it runs.

Whether the room turns over fast enough to protect a full block. Whether the people doing the cases have a real vote in how it operates. Whether it clears its licensure survey the first time, with no life safety deficiencies.

Those are the specs. They just do not fit on a drawing.

Every facility in the Solara network began with a physician group that had a clear vision for how surgical care should be delivered in their market.

Our job is to remove the obstacles between that vision and an operating facility: development, licensure, payor contracting, staffing, and the daily operational load that pulls surgeons away from the OR.

Privately held since 2003, with facilities across Oklahoma, Texas, Florida, Alabama, Mississippi, and Arizona. No corporate affiliations. No competing interests.
