September is National PACE Month, and we're sharing the rest of Freddie's story.

In the first part, Freddie opened up about a hard truth, that his wife needed care he could not give on his own. Here's what came next, once Empath LIFE stepped in to walk alongside them both.


Empath LIFE is our PACE program, the Program of All Inclusive Care for the Elderly, now serving participants across three locations under one name. That includes our Pinellas site, formerly known as Suncoast PACE, along with locations serving Hillsborough County and the Manatee and Sarasota area.

What began at Empath Trustbridge Hospice is now helping even more families through Empath Empath Tidewell Hospice.

We're proud to see the Tikvah Jewish Care & Support Program expand across our hospices, bringing faith-centered support to Jewish patients and families in communities throughout Florida.

Thank you to the teams, volunteers and community partners who have helped make this program possible.

As the Jewish community celebrates Rosh Hashanah and begins a new year, we're honored to introduce the Tikvah Jewish Care & Support Program.

When someone is facing the end of life, the things that have always brought comfort matter even more. A familiar prayer. A tradition. A connection to faith and community.

Tikvah helps Jewish patients and families stay connected to those traditions while receiving hospice care.

We're proud to share that we've earned the Service Enterprise Accreditation from the Association of Leaders in Volunteer Engagement (AL!VE).

For organizations like ours, volunteers aren't just helpful. They're essential. They sit with patients, support families, honor veterans, help behind the scenes and bring comfort during some of life's most difficult moments. We couldn't do this work without them.

This accreditation recognizes the years of work our Volunteer Services teams across Florida have put into strengthening how we recruit, train, support and recognize volunteers.

We're proud to share that we received two Awards of Excellence from the Florida Hospice & Palliative Care Association.

One award recognizes the extraordinary work of Deangelis Brandon, LCSW, an Empath Suncoast Hospice social worker who has spent nearly 30 years supporting patients and families through some of life's most difficult moments.

The other recognizes our End-of-Life Doula Program, where specially trained volunteers provide companionship, support and a comforting presence for patients and loved ones.

We're grateful for the people behind this work and the difference they make every day.
