Dry brushing is a technique that uses a dry-bristled brush with specific, intentional strokes across the skin. It provides physical exfoliation, stimulates the skin, and supports circulation and lymphatic flow.
The lymphatic system helps move excess fluid and cellular waste through the body. Unlike the circulatory system, it doesn’t have a heart to pump lymph, so movement, muscle contractions, breathing, and gentle external stimulation all help support lymphatic flow.
Dry brushing uses light, rhythmic strokes that can encourage lymphatic movement and support the body’s natural drainage processes. It may temporarily help reduce the appearance of puffiness and leave the body feeling lighter and more refreshed.
We use Cecily Braden dry brushes in our treatment room for both the body and face, and they’re also available to take home.
✨ Body dry brushing: exfoliates, stimulates circulation, and supports lymphatic flow
✨ Facial dry brushing: gently exfoliates and can help support circulation and reduce the appearance of puffiness
✨ Both: provide a stimulating, hands-on skin care ritual
