There are many misconceptions surrounding hospice care - and sometimes, those misconceptions can keep families from reaching out for support when they need it most.

We definitely hit the JACKPOT with our friends at Palos Verdes Senior Living 🎰🎲♣️♦️

What a fun night at the Luau Casino Night!! From roulette and craps to blackjack, a human slot machine, and plenty of laughter, it was an evening filled with fun, friendship, and great memories! We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to partner with such an amazing community. The Palos Verdes team is always an absolute joy to work with, and we truly value the partnership we’ve built together. Thank you for having another unforgettable evening. We’re already looking forward to the next time we get to roll the dice together.

Great partnerships are always a winning hand.

A special thank you to our Associate Medical Director and Oncologist, Dr. Robert Yoo, for taking the time to meet with our team and share his expertise in cancer care!

Our team gained valuable insight into how we can provide even greater support and compassionate care to our patients living with cancer. We also learned more about navigating the unique challenges and situations that can arise throughout their journey.

We are incredibly grateful to Dr. Yoo for sharing his knowledge, experience, and passion with our team. His guidance helps us continue to learn, grow, and provide the highest level of care to the patients and families we serve.

Thank you, Dr. Yoo, for investing in our team and in the lives of those we care for! 💜

Let's talk about guilt.

Last week we had the honor of visiting The Hall of Flame located at 6101 E. Van Buren Street, directly across from the Phoenix Zoo and next to Phoenix Municipal Stadium. The Hall of Flame is dedicated to preserving the history, equipment, technology, and human stories of firefighting. It is widely recognized as the world's largest museum devoted to firefighting history.

The collection began with George F. Getz Jr., who started collecting firefighting apparatus in the 1950s. The museum was established in 1961 and eventually moved to Phoenix, where the current museum opened in 1974.

It is much larger than you might expect, approximately 35,000 square feet, with more than 130 pieces of firefighting apparatus and thousands of smaller artifacts.

What you will see?

· Fire engines and firefighting equipment dating back to the 1700s
· Hand-drawn and horse-drawn fire apparatus
· Early motorized fire engines
· Firefighting uniforms, helmets, tools and equipment
· Thousands of fire department patches
· Wildland firefighting exhibits
· Historic fire alarms and communications equipment
· A 1952 American LaFrance fire engine visitors can actually climb aboard
· A fire-safety learning area for children
· Art and historical materials related to the fire service

If you’ve never visited the Hall of Flame Fire Museum, we encourage you to make it a destination! It’s more than a collection of historic fire engines, it’s a powerful tribute to the courage, sacrifice, and service of firefighters and first responders throughout history. Take some time to explore, learn, and honor the men and women who have dedicated their lives to protecting our communities. You’ll leave with a deeper appreciation for the heroes among us. A big thank you to Chuck Montgomery for inviting us to come out and tour.🚒

It was a truly meaningful week as we had the opportunity to be interviewed by the City of Hope media team from Los Angeles. We were honored to share why participating in the Walk for Hope is so important to our organization and why we are proud to support this incredible event for the second consecutive year.

Our commitment goes beyond the care we provide to patients facing cancer at the end of life, it is deeply personal. Many of us have experienced the heartbreak of losing family members, friends, and loved ones to this disease. Those experiences fuel our passion to make a difference.

Because of the generosity of donors, volunteers, and community partners, the groundbreaking research being conducted by City of Hope and TGen continues to bring hope to countless families. Together, we believe we can advance life-saving treatments and move closer to a future where cancer is no longer a life-threatening disease.
