Terros Health kicked off a new Peer Leadership class through our Rehabilitation Services! This six-week program is designed for individuals who have completed Peer Support Training and are ready to take the next step toward employment in the behavioral health field.

Participants will build advanced skills in professional boundaries, ethics, documentation, group facilitation, and one-on-one peer support while strengthening computer skills, exploring employment opportunities, addressing barriers to employment, and developing job-search skills. We’re proud to support our peer graduates as they turn their experiences and training into meaningful careers and opportunities to make a difference in the lives of others.

Here’s to a great six weeks of learning, growth, and new opportunities! 🌟📈

We were proud to participate in the 2026 Southwestern School for Behavioral Health Studies (SWS) Conference as a sponsor and have several of our Terros Health team members share their expertise throughout the conference! 💙

We had a great time connecting with behavioral health professionals, exchanging ideas, and learning more about how we can continue to connect individuals and communities with the resources and care they need.

A special thank you to our incredible presenters:

🌿 Kimberly Sacra, DCS Clinical Manager — “Smell Your Way to Better Mental Health”
Exploring how scent directly impacts the brain and nervous system and can influence mood, stress, and emotional balance.

🌱 Michelle Mackey, Health Center Director – Tucson, and Katie Marwitz, Senior Director of Clinical Operations — “High Expectations:Cannabis, Context, and What Providers Need to Know”
Providing behavioral health professionals with a foundational understanding of modern cannabis use and its implications for clinical assessment and care.

🏥 Jessica Varney, Evaluator, and Leah Caceres, Clinician — “Outside the Waiting Room: Access to Integrated Care in Community Spaces”
Highlighting how Terros Health’s Portable Clinical Care Pilot brings integrated services directly into community settings where clients naturally gather.

Thank you to everyone who made the 2026 SWS Conference such a great experience! We’re grateful to be part of these important conversations and look forward to continuing to learn, connect, and advance behavioral health care together.

See you next year! 👋

Fentanyl can affect anyone. Knowing how to respond can save a life. 💜

This National Fentanyl Prevention & Awareness Day, we’re raising awareness about the risks of fentanyl and the importance of having Narcan (naloxone) available when it’s needed most.

Narcan vending machines are currently available at our Mitchell and 27th Avenue Health Centers, providing convenient access to this lifesaving medication. We’re also working to install Narcan wall mounts at seven more Terros Health locations to help make Narcan even more accessible across our communities.

If you or someone you know is struggling with substance use, you don’t have to face it alone. Support and recovery services are available.
➡️Visit terroshealth.org to learn more about our substance use and recovery services.

Terros Health was honored to welcome the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) to our 27th Avenue Integrated Health Center!

A special thank you to Administrator Engels for recognizing Terros Health with the 2026 Community Health Quality Recognition (CHQR) Award for Health Information Technology Advancement. We are also grateful for the New Access Point Grant Award, which supports our Mobile Health Unit and helps us expand access to care for the more than 60,000 patients we serve each year.

During the visit, Administrator Engels and HRSA staff had the opportunity to tour our health center, meet with our dedicated staff, and experience firsthand the programs and services we provide—including care focused on women, children, and adolescents. It was a meaningful opportunity to connect with our patients and showcase the impact of integrated care in our community.

We’re grateful for the continued support and recognition that helps us advance our mission of providing accessible, integrated health care to the communities we serve. 💙

☀️Beat the Heat, Arizona!💧

As temperatures continue to rise across Arizona, remember that help is available. Several of our locations serve as cooling centers and hydration stations, providing access to water and a safe, air-conditioned space to take a break from the heat.

We’re proud to continue our partnership with the Maricopa County Department of Public Health and the Maricopa Association of Governments (MAG) Heat Relief Network to help keep our communities safe this summer.

🚗 Need transportation assistance for heat relief? Dial 2-1-1 or visit 211Arizona.org.

Stay cool, stay hydrated, and look out for one another. 💙

💙 That’s a wrap on National Health Center Week! 💙

Last week, we celebrated the heart of what makes community health centers so special: our patients, employees, and community partners.

Our health centers were filled with moments of appreciation—from lunches and refreshments for our incredible employees to gift bags filled with goodies and handwritten notes of encouragement for our patients. 🎁💌

While these celebrations were a small way to say thank you, they could never fully express how much we appreciate each and every one of you. We’re incredibly grateful for the opportunity to serve our communities, build meaningful connections, and make an impact every day. Thank you for being part of the Terros Health community and for helping us continue our mission of hope, health, and healing.

The one that’s all about our patients💛🎬☕️

We celebrated Patient Appreciation Day during National Health Center Week with a little extra fun at our health centers! Patients enjoyed a photo booth, treats, prize drawings, a gratitude wall, and special gift bags filled with healthy snacks, hydration packs, socks, toys, and stress balls.

At Terros Health, our patients are the heart of everything we do. Every visit, every conversation, and every act of care is rooted in our commitment to delivering compassionate, whole-person care that supports hope, health, and healing.

To all of our patients—thank you for trusting us to be part of your journey. We’re honored to care for you and your families each and every day.

The one where we celebrated our incredible employees! ☕

As part of National Health Center Week, our leadership team has been making the rounds to our health centers with coffee, drinks, and lunch to keep our teams fueled and remind them just how appreciated they are.

This year’s theme is all about Friends—celebrating how we’re always there for one another, our patients, and our communities. 💙

We couldn’t BE any more grateful for the amazing people who make our mission possible every single day. Here’s to a week of appreciation, connection, and celebrating all that makes our health centers so special! 🎉
